Q: Can I please get your valuable opinion on this company? I am prepared to hold for 3-5 years in a diversified portfolio and would like to buy more shares on its current weakness. Thank you.

Q: Hi Peter and Team, may I please get your thoughts and update on FireEye, FEYE.US? When does it report next and consensus please? It's been pounded since your previous response!
Thanks!
Thanks!
Q: I own Costco..It has decreased by 11% since I purchased it. I was considering selling it and moving the money to Home Depot. Which of these two stocks do you feel has a better outlook going forward.
Thank you
Thank you
Q: Please assess BP. Do you still consider it "very buyable"? Thanks.
Q: Many doctors are enthusiastic about GILD's hepatitis-C treatment which, while very, very expensive, is medically unusual for the high proportion of patients it actually cures (versus, many drug therapies are only incremental improvements on the therapies they supercede.) However - and aside from understandable friction over cost - is GILD potentially the victim of its drug's success: the more people they cure, the fewer customers they have remaining? And unlike, say, Apple (who is running out of new customers but can sell old customers an upgrade), cured patients have no reason to come back for more.
Q: What are your thoughts on today's earnings? The market seems rather unimpressed.
Q: Would relatively small investments in each of Google, Facebook and Amazon seem reasonable at this time? Are there any others you would suggest? Thank you. Peter

In the last few months this miner has gone from $0.53 to $1.82 which I believe outperforms the whole gold sector. I know they settled there contract with the union in the fall and they benefit from a strong USA dollar. Also they are reporting better production results...Do you think there are other reasons? What do you think of this stock going forward...any further upside?
Thanks for your consistent high quality professional expertise!

Q: Hi Peter, I know you guys does not closely cover US stocks. Although I am dire situation with this one, so I want your opinion. I bought CHK last winter and now down 80%. It has a 10% weighting on my portfolio(on the book value I meant). I know I did a bad mistake by betting(not investing according to your advice)on CHK. Although in my defense, I saw report from Goldman Sachs that it was their top pick for 2015 and also Carl Ichan owns quite a bit of it. Anyways, long story short now traders are discussing about possibility of debt default in 2017. I can hold this for 10 years, but with all this rumors around that this can go down to zero. I am not so sure that I should take my 20% and run or not. Anyways, your opinion please, and what do you say probability of CHK going bankrupt in 2017?
Also I understand it is in deep hole but I don't understand how can a large corporation like CHK will go belly up. Can't they just sell their asset OR issue more share OR debt exchange?

Q: Hi guys,
I just read news today that a security I own (JST) entered a merger agreement with FNOF E&M Investment Limited and that they will acquire JST for US$6.00 per common share. On the news JST is up 25% today and still trading. My questions are:
1. What is the best thing to do in theses situations?
2. Do I sell the security or wait?
3. Why is the security still trading at $5.27 if the agreement is for $6.00? Why wouldn't someone just buy JST today at $5.27, if the shares will be bought at $6.00?
Thanks so much.

Q: I am looking at CAT in US which is down but always seems to come back strong. I have bought and sold it a few times for decent profit. Do you think the wait will be extra long this time or have other concerns? An alternative could be CBI which took a beating lately but seems very strong with a pipeline of orders. Do you think the worst is over and it has much upside?
Q: Do you have any information on this company, prospects, value, risk, potential. Thanks
Q: Your opinion is appreciated, many thanks.
Q: Hi Team,
Thanks for all your patience and hard work dealing with us retail investors during these challenging market times. Your transparency, calm and reason are most impressive.
I am thinking much longer term (beyond this current market choppiness) and was wondering if you can point me to an ETF(s) that is focussed on disruptive technologies. I found ARKK which is what I had in mind (different disruptive technologies in different sectors) but it is tiny at reportedly $6.82M market cap and virtually not trading volume.
Do you know of anything similar that is bigger and more liquid (presumably in the US)?
Many thanks for any suggestions.
Michael

Q: For a young couple just starting TFSA with $5,500.00 each
I was thinking for the total $11,000
20% xbb
30% xic
40% xsp
10% vee
Please advise if there is a possible better alternate
For a smaller portfolio should one consider individual stocks
