Q: I have a well diversified CND and US portfolio. I have some US cash to deploy and currently own BAC, BIIB, GOOGL, AAPL, DWDP, FLIR, MS, SWKS and PYPL. I have a high risk tolerance and am looking for growth vs income. What would you top 3 US names be in order and what is your rational for the 3 picks. Thank you - Your advice has helped me become a better investor, GREAT service.

Q: According to BloombergBusinessWeek , Cigna’s offer to buy ESRX.us includes $15 billion in debt, and Cigna will pay $48.75 in cash plus 0.2434 shares per Express Scripts share. That is approximately $96.03 per share , says Bloomberg. Yet in the past 2 days (8 and midday 9 March) ESRX shares have traded in the range US$79 – 85. This is noticeably lower than the offer valued at $96.

Do you see this as an opportunity to buy more ESRX? Or should an ESRX holder just wait and see? OR, do you think it is best to manage risk and sell ---even if price is 10 to 15% below current offer from Cigna. Is deal risk higher than most on this offer, given upheavels seen by pharmacy benefits managers and pharma chains like CVS?

Q: I undertand that Irhythm Technologies, a US medical device/technology company, is far beyond the normal scope of your stock analysis. However it appears that the company is combining heart monitoring and analytics through a simple patch. This appears to be a significant development but...
I would appreciate your comments on the company if you venture into this sector of the market.
With gratitude for your assistance to retail investors.

Q: Hopefully, your research will recognise the first 3 NASDAQ listings. Based on the continuing manic disorder in the Land of the Free & the Home of the Brave I am planning on certain substantial changes in our US investments. The major tax changes certainly provide new opportunities & I would appreciate your evaluation & assessment of the 4 individual choices I am considering. Thank you.

Q: If I wanted to invest in a theme where the real US economy begins to see robust growth from the benefit of the Trump admin's policies that benefit the working class and domestic economic activity, are there any US stocks that you could suggest that may benefit from such a scenario?

Q: Hi;

As WGL is trading significantly under the bid price by ALA for takeover, is buying WGL in an RRSP - USD account a smart play or is there still too much downside risk if the deal does not go through?

Q: Hi 5i team,

Can you help to compare and comment on Square Inc (SQ) and First Data Corp(FDC)? these two company looks working on the similar business and 2 years ago they were similar price and FDC was even higher at some point. FDC revenue is nearly 4 times higher than SQ while market cap is much smaller. Another question is why FDC has so many debt $19.2B, much higher than their total cash of $500M. Maybe this is one of the reason that hurts their stock price ?

Thanks,

Adam

Q: Peter and His Wonder Team
This American bank stock is up sharply...any news on the wire? Possible hint of a dividend?
Thanks!

Q: GLW.us recently raised its dividend, action that seems to have taken most analysts by surprise. Are you aware of possible reasons for the analyst commune to be puzzled? Has the company struggled or is there some reason why share price is up only some 3 % in 12 months? I have always been too slow to sell and ask this question to decide whether funds are better deployed elsewhere. If the latter do you have a suggestion, please?

Q: I have 3 big losers in my US account, MITT, IPCI and IVR. MITT and IVR pay good dividends and the stock price loss over the last few years has been mitigated by the great dividend. I would like to sell each of these stocks and buy a good US growth ETF. These are the only stocks I have in the US account. Can you suggest a good ETF? I am retired so any one with a dividend would be nice but not essential.
Thanks for your great service
