Q: Is Fitbit a buy at its current market price? Why has the stock fallen so much since it's IPO? Could this be a good growth investment?

Q: I assume hedging is a two way street - you get protection back to Can$ if the US $ falls but lose the gain associated with a US$ rise, and there is a cost to provide this?? So if the US$ looks strong going forward relative to the Looney is this the best strategy and are there other US banking sector ETF choices. What do you think?
- Global X S&P 500 Index Corporate Class ETF (HXS)
- iShares Core S&P 500 Index ETF (XUS)
- Vanguard U.S. Total Market Index ETF (VUN)
- SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust (SPY)
Q: I am thinking of investing in U.S. large cap companies more specifically an ETF. Are you better off to invest in a fund like SPY (U.S. dollars) or in the other canadian fund base companies like HXS,VUN or XUS. I noticed that the ytd. return is approx. 14% for SPY versus the others at %7% for this current year.
Q: I have roughly 5,500 dollars free in US dollars. I am looking at starting a new position that has some growth and pays a dividend. What are my options. I currently already have these in the US

Q: Hello 5i
I am looking to find an individual investment or etf offering cloud storage securities. I prefer to invest with c$ due to currency exchange fees but if the best companies at good valuation are in US$, then so be it.
Would you please suggest a few options and comment on valuation or other significant indicator to consider before entry today?
Thank you
Dave

Q: Please advise what etf. could cover US energy stocks both can. and us// Thanks and MERRY XMAS TO ALL..CLIFF
Q: Dear 5i Staff,
I would like to participate in the energy price recovery and the expected new US Administration favorable bias toward energy companies.
My question is it better to invest in Canadian or US energy companies now
Which of these stock you favor: Duke, Exxon, Chevron or maybe an ETF is better. Any other suggestion.
Thank you and best wishes for the season.

Q: Hi Peter and Team! I know the Us is not usually covered, but what are your thoughts on a long term holding in this company. I will not be without customers ( sorry, I could not help, that one😄😄😄) Cheers, Tamara
Q: Can you give me your opinion on CorSite. I see they raised the dividend 50% and am wondering if there might be decent growth here as well.
Q: On December 6th's edition of the Globe & Mail John Reese recommended Wabash (WNC). Is it a good stock? He noted its P/E to be seven and earnings per share growth of 30%. Does the company have a high debt and do insiders own stock?
Thanks
Jim

Q: I have good gains in two US positions. One is GSE systems (GVP) (3.7% of total portfolio)and the other is Flextronics (5%).
Both up over 100%. Is it time to trim these, sell, or wait till January for tax purposes.
I appreciate your guidance.

Q: I've seen an article recently that speculates that the next paradigm shift will be a faster expansion of the "Internet of Things", especially by large industrial companies that over the next 30-40 years will automate more processes using equipment and sensors provided and monitored by outside companies. Names mentioned that are expected to benefit most were GE, Honeywell, Rockwell, Cisco and IBM. I'd appreciate your opinion on whether this seems like a good idea for long-term investment.
