Q: I am looking at adding one of the two to my US holdings and would appreciate your thoughts. Which would be the better long term hold, for 5 years? Tencent Holdings, or Impinj?

Acknowledging that you do not focus on US stocks, I still value your opinion -- as you helped me (along with many others no doubt) hit it out of the ballpark with both NVDA and Tenneco. (Thank You! )

Q: Peter and Team,

I hold basically the balanced equity portfolio with CSW.A,KBL,and L added plus a portfolio I've been building to US/International. In the US/International portfolio I currently hold XYL, SBUX, V, JNJ, and VXUS. I was considering selling some or all of L and CSW.A to add some more international names and was thinking initially of GE and PFE. These changes would be made within an RRSP (the entire portfolio is spread over TFSAs, RRSPs, and RESP).

What are your thoughts on such a move? I should point out that L is less than 1% weighting and CSW.A is approximately 3% of total equity exposure.

Are there other US/International names I should focus on?

Thanks,

Marc

Q: Peter and His Wonder Team
I realize you do not cover USA stocks and may want to take a pass...I will not be offended. Iteris has just hit a new high and I am wondering if I should sell or hold for a while. So in your eyes can you give me the big picture. Does it appear to have new legs and could possibly run another 10-20% in the coming months?
Thanks for your guidance which is always valuable to us little guys!

Q: Hello Peter, I'm looking for a solid, long-term, US investment for my RRSP. Ford is yielding almost 4.8% with a very low P/E. Metlife is yielding around 3% with a P/E around 17. Which of these two would you favour for a decent 'sleep at night' long term hold and for a better result? Also, which US company in the military/defence area might you currently favour? Thanks!

Q: This is another US company question which I recognize is not your area of full coverage. The company is Southern - an electricity utility in the US. Four US analysts have it as a "sell" and many others as a hold. I'm wondering if this is largely because of the shift away from interest sensitive stocks or for some other reason. Wondering if you have an opinion on this company as a purchase for dividend yield and relative security (recognizing that the share price could drop further). I don't currently own it. Thanks and Happy New Year Don

Q: Hi Guys
Just thinking with the recent cyber attacks on the US election, as well as on our own Hydro grid, if this will be a concern for the next US administration, and should be a concern for our "picture Opt" guy in Ottawa.
What would be 5I opinion on this, and if it is a concern, would you consider panw to be in a good place on this, or are there any other including Canadian listed companies.
Thanks in advance and Cheers for 2017
