Q: If Apple's earnings are down after reporting on Nov. 1st, will the market follow the fall of FAANG stocks? Would you continue investing in FAANG or start looking at other tech companies? If so, which would you recommend and what would be some good opportunity's if we see a slight crash in market?

Q: Greetings team 5i,

Beside my core portfolio, I invest about 5% of my money in a “fun” portfolio. It has not been much fun recently. I bought ABBV (at the top) in order to write covered calls and cash-secured uncovered puts.

These calls, written just out-of-the-money and puts written just in-the-money on Mondays with the expiry date on the Friday of the same week, have produced premiums ranging from $US0.81 to $US2.73 which happened this week.

Why is there such a wide range of premium prices and what do the higher premiums suggest?

Q: Peter et al I am looking at QYLD for enhanced yield in the US and came across EOS. Without regard to the fees attached what is your opinion on these two generally. Secondly which would you buy for income if you had to buy one from a capital preservation perspective. Thanks so much for your insights as always. Ken

Q: Hello 5i,
I am up $3000 to $4000 on JPM, MMM, PEP and others. I am down $3000 on KWH, RME, TCL.A. and others. I do not need money and can stay invested in all. I am retired, 72, with good pensions. I am inclined to just stay put and collect dividends. Should I sell and apply the losses to the gains or just stay put as I am inclined to do?

Q: Hi could you please explain why you think healthcare may be a good place to hide if markets stay week? And does this include biotech without revenue or are you referring top the larger drug companies with stable revenue?

Q: Hi 5i,

With the market correction, I am looking to add to some positions while things are on sale. I am looking at TSLA, which reposted good results last week and thus the stock started to rise. It also did pretty well today in a negative market. I have read your other answers on TSLA. Has you opinion become more positive after the recent results. Thanks 5i

Q: Looking at Microns history it has been quite volatile. Between the end of 2014 and mid 2016 it fell over 70% which ended up being a fantastic buying opportunity. Looking at it now, it has fallen over 40% since its most recent peak. If it were to fall a similar % as 2014-2016 it could go all the way to 20 bucks.

Looking at the most recent balance sheet however, the company paid down a massive amount of debt in 2018, and generated a ton of cash. Is there any estimates of how much cash/share this company could have at the end of 2019? If 2019 is anything similar to 2018 it looks like a decent % of the market cap could be in cash, which makes me think a similar decline as 2014-2016 is unlikely . Is the risk/reward getting increasingly interesting here?

Q: ABBV share price has slumped from approx. $95 to $82.50 in the past 5 days. Marinol was recently approved by the FDA. ABBV currently has a Forward P/E ratio of 10.72. I understand that the industry's average Forward P/E is 15.85.

What is your view of this stock. Seems like it might be an opportune time to buy and play the marijuana angle from a safe distance.
