Q: Are you able to comment on BX, particularly the business they're in. I understand they're US and that's not really your focus but you may still be able to provide an opinion.

Q: I would like to get your thoughts on the latest news that Amazon is looking at the possibility of doing their own shipping and how this may affect Fedex. Should I continue to hold onto my Fedex shares (down slightly) or is this a good time to move on to something else? Maybe Amazon given that they are currently down?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Q: On further weakness, I will be looking to initiate a position in a solid lower BETA growth stock in US. The sort of steady Eddy for the long haul, like BCE in Canada. Would D fit that bill, or would you have any better suggestion?
Thanks
Thanks
Q: I would appreciate your thoughts on the potential purchase of QCOM by AVGO. Would the change in value after the Monday market drop & the possibility AAPL might switch to INTL chips infer the offer may now be revised?

Q: WOW!!
In your opinion, just bad results for big selloff?
Plus general market volatility? Or do you see something else?
Not a good sector to be in at this stage of the game?
Thanks
Stephen

Q: Looking to add a US financial. I already own MFC, RY, TD, BNS, JPM. I'm looking for a 6-7% total return so I don't really need to get too aggressive. Was thinking about GS. Any other recommendations that would fit my criteria? Thanks

Q: Sorry guys, didn't see the response to Ichr before I send in my question. I suppose the real question now is it too late to get rid of as I am down quite considerable but it's only a small % of over portfolio.

Q: CBOE really dropped. Thought the company would be agnostic to market volatility, or even positive. Do they offer etf’s as part of their selection of products?Could drop in price be from massive inflows into etf’s finally hitting the wall? Would it be a good buy or how about writing a put?
Q: What are your thoughts on this company.

Q: Hi 5i: I'm still considering a purchase of AFLAC. The news regarding employee complaints seems no worse, though a few legal firms have made it a point of announcing that they are investigating. Re its quarterly report, I find it hard to decide how well it's doing given the tax effects and yen currency effects. What is your assessment? Do you think it's buyable yet?
Q: From BMO Capital Markets, regarding the cost of borrowing (rising interest rates) and the new US tax bill. "Starting in 2018, companies can only deduct interest expense of up to 30% of its EBITBA. Any amount beyond this, will no longer be deductible. This will tighten further in 2022."
I read this quote, and noted that while you do not cover US Markets, this tax increase on companies in the States, may largely affect some of your members' portfolios. I really don't have a question about it, but thank you again for your guidance in regards to searching for value stocks. Susan
