Q: Hi team,
I am back to Square one again. I watched SQ rally hard to the high 40's a few weeks ago when it announced it would accept bitcoin as a payment option for certain customers. That rally faded fast despite the fact that the bitcoin frenzy keeps on going and going. I am not a pure technician in terms of detailed trading parameters but I do follow the technicals for support and resistance levels. SQ is now at $36 which I think is hovering around the 50 day moving average. Is this just a normal pullback and is the buy thesis still intact or has there been some negative news on the stock that I missed?
Thanks again,
dave

Q: I currently hold VTWV, and notice that you recommend IWO generally when picking a Russell 2000 ETF. Should I sell VTWV, which hasn't done very well, and replace it with IWO, and if so, why? It seems that IWO is doing better but I don't understand why, as I would think the two are comparable.

Thank you for this wonderful service. The new design is super.

Q: Hi,
I would like to acquire a good cover in US financials. I am looking in particular at iai (iShares U.S. Broker-Dealers & Securities Exchanges ETF), zub (BMO Equal Weight US Banks Hedged to CAD Index ETF), zbk (BMO Equal Weight US Banks Index ETF). Can you explain the difference between zbu and zbk and what would you suggest for a good coverage of US financials with a solid growth prospect ?
Thanks in advance for your valuable assistance,
Jacques

Q: I've held MMM for the last several years, but have become increasingly uneasy with its valuation (though it's not the only stock I feel that way about!). Do you think MMM's current valuation warrants an exchange with another US industrial? If so, could UTX foot that bill and would it complement my other holdings in that space: NFI, SIS, WSP and XYL. Other/better suggestions most welcome! While I have enjoyed the relative stability MMM has provided to my portfolio, I could be comfortable with something a little "growthier" in that space.

Q: Hi Peter,

Thank you for your new design and continued service. I have decided to sell PUR in my TFSA ($5k) and take the profit and reinvest. I was looking at growth stocks in Canada and did not like the alternatives (maybe ZCL or SHOP). My options appear to be in the USA or Asia. IF you could choose one growth stock (even a CDN one), which stock would you choose for a TFSA.
We have KXS, SYZ, AQN, FTS, FSZ, MFC, BNS, SIS

Thank you
Jerry and Debbie

Q: What are your thoughts on Mammoth Energy Service (TUSK)? Although it is a young American oilfield service provider it seems to be doing the right thing in vertically integrating their operations so they can provide frack sand from their own mines and pressure pump it into wells with their own equipment and even cement the well. Is this are a smart idea or should smaller companies just try to concentrate on one part of the horizontal/fracking boom.

Q: I currently hold these 3 in a us tfsa among a few others, and im looking to add to one of the 3 listed. BA recently announced 20% dividend increase and 18b buyback program, which seems very positive. NVDA also seem like a good time to add with recent pull back to sub 200s with no fundamental change. Then V is just doing what its been doing for years and years with slow and steady climb. Which would you preferred to add to and why?

CRA has announced $5500 contribution limit for 2018, when does it take effect? Is it immediate on jan. 1?

Q: Good morning, if one was to look for international oil and gas exposure, other than through a Canadian listed company like VET, would you prefer a service company like SLB, or a large integrated like XOM, CVX, BP, or RDS. Although you don't follow these, is there anything that you particularly like? Thanks!
