Q: I am rebalancing 5% of USD portfolio with objective of reducing overall Beta to face an increasing volatility patch.
My Question is on IGHG, that has performed well in the current environment. In a well balanced growth tilted portfolio , would you see any objection in increasing this position from 5% to 10%? I realize that trading volumes are sub-optimal. But I like the protection given to rate increase with zero duration in an otherwise benign credit risk environment, especially with ongoing strong growth in US and no sign of yield curve inversion on horizon. It also seem to give me an even safer hedging strategy to rising rates than with TBF, for which your comments were really appreciated.

Q: Hi 5i
Any thoughts or words of wisdom on this merger (far outside your focus is understood) would be much appreciated.
Specifically, cineworld will be ramping up leverage for this deal. Would this make you nervous? I have a position in cineworld and am in the midst of a rights issue.

Thanks for any comment provided
Mike

Q: Hi 5i
Not so much a question as a request for reassurance about the volatility of the previous week. I've been picking up additional shares of cgnx (and others across both US / Canada ) and could do with hearing that I haven't missed obvious signs that the world is ending !

I've taken for granted the volatility-free markets we've had for some time but remember past panics where I watched without participating in, with hindsight, so called bargains.

Thanks
Mike

Q: I would like to get your thoughts on the latest news that Amazon is looking at the possibility of doing their own shipping and how this may affect Fedex. Should I continue to hold onto my Fedex shares (down slightly) or is this a good time to move on to something else? Maybe Amazon given that they are currently down?
Thanks!
