Q: Happy Halloween to all.
I know you dont cover US stocks but do you see any good stocks to buy now for 2 to 3 years growth? Ones that have been beaten up too much. I'm thinking NAVIDA GRUB GOOG but suggestions welcome please. Thank you
Ps should we wait until end of November?

Q: I had the pleasure of listening in on the conference call last week. One theme that I agree with is to sell your losers. I understand you mean on fundamentals, not price alone. I am holding some of your favorites, and they have all taken a bath with the market. I wonder if it is time to let any go, or are they all still a hold

Q: Hi team,
Just how big is this cloud anyway? Since IBM announced its purchase of Red Hat, it seems every tech stock and their brother claim to be a cloud company. I got several Seeking Alpha emails identifying about 20 or more companies that are now M&A candidates in the cloud. There are too many to list here, but two companies that I follow stood out to me; one that was there and one that was conspicuous by its absence.
I have been following DOCU for awhile. It was on the list. It seems it has a unique electronic signature software/platform that resides on the cloud and that would be an attractive functionality for bigger companies in the future for document authorization. The one that was absent from the list was BOX. I had been in that stock earlier the year but lost interest after erratic earnings. It looks like the risk/reward may be attractive here, but I just don’t see any real competitive advantage that it holds over many other cloud candidates. Earlier this year, you suggested that MSFT could potentially be interested. What sets BOX apart from many other cloud companies and is the outlook for DOCU and/or BOX enhanced or not by the IBM deal?
Thanks again for your thoughts,
dave

Q: Thx. for the quick response.....my son owns it...has a 50% gain....would you recommend to hold, add or sell based on your response "The drop has likely now accounted for the weaker result". You've liked it until recently and even suggested as a good company.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Q: Seems that National Instruments (Nati on Nasdaq) does not show up in the company query. Recently, the company share price jumped. Realizing this company is US, could you take a look and see if there is anything that is the source of the rise.
Q: If Apple's earnings are down after reporting on Nov. 1st, will the market follow the fall of FAANG stocks? Would you continue investing in FAANG or start looking at other tech companies? If so, which would you recommend and what would be some good opportunity's if we see a slight crash in market?
Thank you,
Thank you,

Q: Greetings team 5i,
Beside my core portfolio, I invest about 5% of my money in a “fun” portfolio. It has not been much fun recently. I bought ABBV (at the top) in order to write covered calls and cash-secured uncovered puts.
These calls, written just out-of-the-money and puts written just in-the-money on Mondays with the expiry date on the Friday of the same week, have produced premiums ranging from $US0.81 to $US2.73 which happened this week.
Why is there such a wide range of premium prices and what do the higher premiums suggest?
Thank you.

Q: What is your prognosis on Ford in the near term
Q: Peter et al I am looking at QYLD for enhanced yield in the US and came across EOS. Without regard to the fees attached what is your opinion on these two generally. Secondly which would you buy for income if you had to buy one from a capital preservation perspective. Thanks so much for your insights as always. Ken
Q: Hello 5i,
I am up $3000 to $4000 on JPM, MMM, PEP and others. I am down $3000 on KWH, RME, TCL.A. and others. I do not need money and can stay invested in all. I am retired, 72, with good pensions. I am inclined to just stay put and collect dividends. Should I sell and apply the losses to the gains or just stay put as I am inclined to do?
Thanx,
Stanley
