Q: According to an Aug. 14 news release Berkshire Hathaway has sold US Bank shares and also QSR . They have bought Barrick gold. Do you read much into this? Comments please. Thanks as always. Frank

Q: What do you think of Twitter? The platform, for better or worse, has become one of the main ways in which people get their news. Trump can't seem to leave the app despite publicly criticizing it and its founder. Despite this, the stock hasn't exploded in price like other social media platforms e.g. Facebook. I assume this is because a lack of profitability. What do you think of the long term prospects? Good buy for exposure into social media and technology? Bad idea if you already have a lot in Facebook?

Q: Shortly after the COVID crash, I ran a screener for companies that were down 50% or more over 1, 3, and 5 year timeframes, to capture stocks that were well below their their normal longer term levels. I note that had I blindly bought the top 10 or 20 names, I'd have done pretty well (although I pretty well picking from 5i stocks anyway). These 5 are now at the top of that list. Do you see any opportunity or red flags in any of these?

Q: Good morning. Have similar small positions in both Apple and Veev. I like a concentrated portfolio. Should I condense to one and if so, which one? Or just leave well enough alone. Also own Kinaxis and XBC in my TFSA. Dividend stocks are in my self-directed account. I'm a 75 year old senior woman who loves managing my own portfolio, with your wonderful recommendations of course. Thanks. Lorraine

Q: Thinking about taking a position in one of the following companies, given studios can now own movie theatres after Paramount Consent Decrees of 1948 have been removed. I have a 3-5 year horizon and think people will eventually come out of hiding ; ) Also, if there is another company (entertainment) that has been recently beaten-up that you prefer, please let me know.
