Q: Hi 5i Team,

I have heard that the short sellers of Tesla stock have held the price from going up. Since the recent rise to +420, this is maybe a bit late to ask. However, I have always believed there are buyers and sellers, and that folks who short are simply believing the stock will go down. But, can a significant number of short sellers influence the market and actually help the stock go down ? Thank you for your superior service. Perplexed and curious 5i fan.

Q: Happy New Year Peter and 5i team,
I was thinking of adding Google to my Canadian funds TFSA. It was a recent top pick by two well known analysts on market call. They said that the company is attractively valued, has good growth potential, and good cloud business potential with growing revenues. Do you agree?
What are the consequences of holding a US stock in a can funds TFSA? Is it better to hold in an open account?
Thank you for your opinion

Q: An article in the Fin Post calls Marketaxess the undisputed champion in the S&P financial index for the last decade. Your only comment on this company was in March,2018. The company appeared to have done very well up till then. The CEO was even interviewed that year by Crammer on his show. As I understood that interview, MKTX is sensitive to interest rates, yet it continues to rise in value in this low interest environment. Do you think MKTX is a safe way to have "bond" exposure? Belated season's greetings. Lionel

Q: I have two small positions in CSH.UN (1.3%) and SIS (1.0%), and I wanted to consolidate the invested capital into one holding. I consider them both to be investments within the healthcare space, which is part of the reason for consolidating these two holdings. I am strongly leaning towards selling CSH.UN and buying more SIS. Does this sound reasonable, or is there another option worth considering?

Q: AXSM
I owned this stock 2k shares at $18. It rose extremely quickly and I sold my position at $48.
It is now over $100, some of the current recent reports I have been reading are amazing and it was just upgraded with a target price of $180.
It is currently $100. What do you think of AXSM, should I just leave it and post the gain or should I reenter again at 5X the price I bought less than a year ago?
Your opinion would be appreciated.

Thanks

Sheldon

Q: In a brief release I see MAXR is being taken out by private equity for $1B, but the rise in share price this morning has the Mkt Cap at $1.26B. Can you explain the difference, e.g., does the 1B include or exclude debt carried by the company, is this a signal someone else might come in higher? What is your recommendation, hold or sell into this strength?

Thx, John
