Q: "Quantum computers would provide the computing power required to solve problems that are currently intractable for classical computers—at least in a timeframe that’s practical." Analytic Insights Magazine.
It lists top 10 quantum computing co in 2020 by alphabetical orders: Accenturre-ACN, Alibaba-BABA, AMZN, GOOG,, MSFT, INTC, IBM, BAIDU, AT&T, Atos Quantum. Your thought on 2021 on my preferences: IBM, GOOG and ACN
Q: In the healthcare sector I hold ABBV, BMY, MDT, AZN and CVS. Am looking to swap one out for a growth/value holding, perhaps in Industrials (maybe LMT?). Was thinking AZN would be my odd one out. Would appreciate your thoughts on best approach for long term buy and hold portfolio given the 5 holdings noted here. Thanks.
Q: hi guys, you mentioned Unity lots of time and you did a lot of research on it.
What did you found during your research and if what are your expectations going forward with the share price?
You think the lower share price is a good entry point?
Mitek,guardian (GH)or Unity....which of the 3 would you pick?
Or would you suggest something else in the tech sector?
Q: Hi team,
After watching CCIV sail away into the sunset, I have to wonder what other big SPAC deals are in the works? Do you have any insights as to enable you to recommend to me an early stage SPAC that hasn't blasted off 400% yet, that a guy could possibly look at buying into for hopes of hitting a homerun? It seems every SPAC that is hitting them market is going up 2-400% so far. Who knows what CCIV will be up to if/ when the Lucid deal comes to fruitition. I know the risks of the SPAC, would be for some speculative investing. Thanks!
Shane.
Q: I have substantial holdings in the US technology sector. The only stock underwater is Unity Software. Would you continue to hold or shift the funds to one of CRWD, SE, MU or PLTR in which I have only partial positions? Which would be your second choice if I were to divide the funds?
Thank you.
Q: Hi, what is the significance of the ongoing investigation into securities claim against the company and what would the long term negative impact be for shareholders, if any. I noticed that the stock has been on a downward trend since it was announced. Thanks.
Q: This stock has come off quite a bit post earnings and down from its high. What impact do you expect the lock up period expiry to have on the stock and would you initiate a position now or wait until after?
Mastercard has been pretty flat for the last 12 months. Do you see things picking up significantly for them when people start booking tickets for flights, hotels, concerts and Disney Land or will papal process more of these payments as well. PayPal has grown to a size in my portfolio that I wouldn't want to add to it. I know Mastercard isn't a "weed" but can't decide if it's a "flower" that could use some water ;)
Would you add to Mastercard (or maybe start a position in Visa) today or look for something else? (In the payments space I also have a full position in SQ)
....PayPal passed Mastercard in market cap today. (mind blown emoji)
Q: Hi 5i, BNGO
This company is not currently in your data base. I am considering a 1/2 or 1/4 position is this genomics company and would like your opinion on 2- 3 year hold.
Is this a company you would have any interested in at the current price. Why/why not.
Any suggestions for similar strong candidates in this space.
Thx
Jim
I have enough money to open a new 1% position in a portfolio that is intentionally a little overweight in tech, but otherwise well-diversified. I currently don't have any pureplay cybersecurity companies or any pureplay fintech/payments companies (although I do own MELI, STNE and SE). Which of these two sectors would you invest in first. I was thinking CRWD for cybersecurity and SQ or PYPL for fintech/payments.
Q: My top holdings are:
GOOG 6.61%
AAPL 5.21%
AMZN 5.12%
NVDA 4.61%
V 4.23%
NPI 3.75%
WSP 3.58%
PBH 3.37%
XBB 3.21%
COST 3.1%
OHI 3.48 %
ENB 2.8%
JPM 2.72%
They make up 50% of my portfolio. I have 12% in cash. Would you add or reduce any of these positions? Long investment horizon(17 years). I’m over weight consumer cyclicals and FS (3% BMO and 3% BNS). Light industrials @7%.
Q: What sector would you put Enphase in: Energy, Utilities, Technology, Industrial or a mixture as it seems to touch all of these? It is obviously tied to Renewables but that is not a sector on its own.
Q: I thought CVS was a reasonably good value at or below its recent price in the mid-70 dollars. It reported results today February 16, and tumbled ~ 5%. Before release of those latest results, I had calculated ROE just under 15% and PEG at ~2.4. (1) Do you have updates to key metrics, in addition to the above-noted ones (incorporating the latest results). (2) CVS’ acquisition of Aetna did cause indigestion, but I thought things were much better now. Not so? (3) I had also thought CVS’ participation in the administration of vaccines would very likely enhance impulse sales also. I am wrong on that too? ( So far, I am scoring zero out of 10, yes?)
Am I wrong about CVS? If it is not worth adding to my position, should I sell or leave my half position in peace for now and just monitor?
