Q: AMD announced acquisition of Xilinx has been approved by EU & UK. USA issued a `no comment' what does that mean. Is this a tacit approval ? It is expected that China will approve since as of now no serious objects or concerns have been communicated to any of the companies.

Based on the offer terms, Xilinx share value is almost 13-15% under valued. Why is that ? Is the market betting that the China approvals will not be given.

And by when is China's decision expected ?

Q: Hi 5i Team,

With the recent slide with these "recovery" companies, would you consider this a good time to be picking them up?

Any reason for the recent weakness? I saw that CCL is exploring a tender offer for its secured notes so is this a cash cushion concern?

Would also appreciate if you could rank them from best to worst (in your opinion) in terms of potential upside as of now.

Q: Your opinion please on recent IPO cell therapy company, Century Therapeutics and most especially any comments on their most interesting takeover of small private Canadian company Empirica which was purchased last June. I understand that the former Empirica (U of T & McMaster talent) takeover involved in innovative brain cell molecular identification was a big lever to go public .
