Q: Hi Team,
I am currently reviewing my TFSA and the current holdings within that account. I am looking for your thoughts if any of my holdings should be adjusted or removed/trimmed, or if you had any suggestions for new buys. My focus in this account is growth for a 10yr+ period. I hold the following stocks, listed as a % of my tfsa: LSPD (32.3%), CELH (9%), Docu (5.6%), Fb (19.3%), Pltr (4.9%), SQ (12.2%), TTD (8.9%), U (7.9%). Thanks

Q: Hi,
Can you tell me what type of account is generally best to hold US REITs, from a tax perspective?
I hold these 4 Canadian REITs (TCN, WIR.U, DIR.UN, SMU.UN) and am interested in several US REITS. I've been considering AMT, CCI, EQIX, DLR. Can you comment on these and suggest a few others.
I was wondering if you could give a US list for the question asked back on September 17, "Would you have a short list of 5 companies that should be on a watchlist for when (if) a 10% downturn comes before Christmas ?"
Q: Once the unsettled state of the market suggested by today's gapping down on the DIA, QQQ and IWM (i.e. as of noon, at least) steadies, would you favour a purchase of NYCB as a steady source of $U.S. income or would you think that BNS:NYSE (for example) could be preferable (i.e. at least for a margin, hence, taxable account)?
Thanks,
Q: Hi Peter and crew. I know that US tech companies are "not in your wheel house" and I also know that you have great insight. so I am interested in your opinions on the following.
I am watching that both Rivian and Global Foundries Inc. are applying to the SEC this fall to go public. Both appear to be in a good space for long term trends/needs. I am interested in long term investing in these companies when they come to market.
Thoughts?
BTW - Peter, Loved the article in the FP about your father-in-law. Maybe the 2 above companies will give him " the action" he is looking for!
Q: Hello 5i. What are your thoughts about this company? It has an EV of around $300M on ~$700M in TTM sales. Pre-covid sales of $1B, if they can get back to this level and get a 2x EV/revenue multiple there's good upside. There's also been some insider buying. Thanks in advance.
Q: Can I get your outlook on DIS.
Do you see the delta variant impacting Disney parks and its cruises?
At what price would you take a position on the stock?
Q: good morning - sentiment seems to be trending against my largest US health care position ABBV. Do you think it prudent to sell and reinvest in another company such as Pfizer or another company? Taxes are not an issue. Thanks
Q: There is some speculation that the president of CRWD may be involved in the Sussman indictment and could be in legal jeopardy. Do you think such a scenario would hit the stock price significantly?
Q: Hi, KMX is now getting close to ATH, can you please provide a brief update : current valuation ?, expectation for next earnings ?, recovery play candidate ?, growth potential ? and your current appreciation ?
Q: I currently hold Paypal. I see from other posts that you favour SQ. These companies compete in the same space essentially although I believe SQ uses smaller merchants than PYPL currently. Would you move a position from Paypal to Square?
I have a small amount of funds available to invest inside my TFSA. I already hold a small position of TOI (26 shares) and really like the company. I'm looking to either: add to the TOI position, or start a new position in NVEI or ASAN. They all seem quite pricey with current valuations (with NVEI and ASAN rising sharply in the past few days). Based on current valuation, which do you prefer for a minimum 5-year hold. Risk tolerance high.
Q: Presently I have this stock in my TFSA - thinking that there is no dividend to be concerned about. Is there a tax drawback in relation to capital gains? Should I move this to my non-registered account?
Thanks so much.
Q: Hello, your thoughts on the recent rally in Palantir please. I read that it has broken some kind of technical resistance but there was also an announcement of a partnership with wejo. Any insight would be appreciated. Thank you.
