I’ve been watching Resoration Hardware closely and have been amazed at the depth of the pullback. Do you see this as an attractive company at today’s prices? What level would be incredible value?
Q: Im down on this company by over 50%. Can you give me your current opinion on it.
Should I consider taking my lumps and reinvesting somewhere for better upside.
Thanks for your help.
Q: I am considering positions in the attached companies. Are current prices good entry points and are there any of these companies you would not purchase today?
Q: Hi 5i Team - I hold shares in Enthusiast Gaming. Besides continuing to hold I would like to add another stock in the same space. I am looking to add Brag and Penn. Do you have a preference over these two. Also do have any other recommendations in the gaming and/or e-sports space, especially in the small and mid caps. Thanks.
Q: Hi Team,
It looks like the US aiming at "information network war" would these two company benefit ?
Your thought is highly appreciated !
Thanks as always,
Tak
In my consumer discretionary basket the above 3 are "in the red". I have hung on to some losers far too long and have sold some that I wish I had not.
I have no problem in owing a basket of stocks in a sector if warranted. However that approach also means I can sell some and add to others without their position being "too large"
Assuming I would be adding to one or more of HD, DOO,DOL,LNF or MG which order would you add to and which if any of the above 3 would you not sell to add to any of those listed.
Looking at my health care basket, I have a couple of losers in it VEEV and VTRS.
I have had losers I regretted selling and losers I wish I had not wasted opportunity cost on.......I am fine doing either....Do you think the risk/reward of selling either or both of these to top up ABBV,PFE,SYK or JNJ would be a good move in the long run ignoring how many positions I have or should I hang on. If a sale is suggested which order would you top up the 4 stocks mentioned.
Q: Hi folks
BMO Investorline's chart for DXCM is completely different than your chart? Can you explain please. Your chart shows huge jump in price on about March 25th. Is this correct? Is there still room for gain? Would you BUY now? My Health sector weight is 4.55% which is down from its high due to the market of course. (ZTS, PFE, GH, VEEV, BNTX)
Much thanks for keeping me well on track through the ups and downs for about 8 years now..I recommend you often.
Q: Hi 5i Team - Besides companies such as Tesla and the large auto companies, are there any smaller auto companies that may have some upside in the EV space. Any geographic location is fine. Thanks.
Q: Dear 5i
TEAM is still quite aways away from its 52 week high . This could be a good stock to buy on this basis assuming its earning growth is good over the next year or two . What`s your recommendation ? Is there another similar stock that you like better ?
Thanks
Bill C
Q: Greetings - Katie Stockton has just launched this actively managed etf which utilizes her technical analysis and rebalances monthly via 14 sector etfs. In down cycles she will use treasuries and gold to strive to reduce capital loss. Her Fairlead research company seems well respected in the industry. Aside from the usual caveats that a new etf needs some time to see how it will perform and the need for it to build sufficient liquidity do you have any views regarding Katie's track record as a technician, her reputation in the industry and the approach of active sector rotation based on technicals this particular etf will follow. Would appreciate your views. Thank you.
Q: Hello Peter and team,
Is NVDA a buy under $280 per share and what is its current PE ratio? I was thinking of buying open text but this company does not seem to get a lot of positive attention (stock hardly moves) in risk on or risk off markets. Do you the current price at $53 is good entry point? Thanks very much.
Q: The above companies have all fallen below 1.5% of my portfolio and I am looking to do some cleaning up. Could I get an add/sell/hold recommendation on them please?
Thank you
Q: Electrification Theme: My question is about the "picks and shovels" in the electrical equipment market to support EVs, modern energy grids, storage and distributed power. What stocks would you recommend with a short rationale and, if possible, entry price.
Thank you
Q: Could you please help me understand the dividend yield that is calculated for ZIM. Your company profile shows its last price at $72.34 with a dividend of 17.00 and a yield of 94.001. It seems that is calculated assuming that dividend is paid for the next 3 quarters i.e., (17.00 x 4)/72.34 = 94.001%. Seems pretty (too) good to me BUT before the 17.00 dividend they paid 2.50 in December (as near as I can tell with my limited tools). Do you think it is reasonable to assume that ZIM will pay 17.00 in the next 3 quarters? Do you like the stock? Thanks again. Dan
Q: What is your current view on Bausch Health Companies? It looks like a good price now. Or, would you prefer any of other names in health care now such as PFE, LLY or JNJ? Already hold ABBV and MRK.
Q: I currently own TSM and am down a bit as are many of the tech stocks this year. This company had a very good earnings report and provided very positive forward guidance in their last ER report. As well they have a large moat as one of the leading foundries in the world. In short there isn't much not to like in my opinion. However, there always seems to be some question as to when, not if, China will attempt to move on Taiwan similar to Russia and the Ukraine which would have a profound impact on TSM as a world leading semi company given the propensity of the Chinese government to heavily regulate companies in their jurisdiction. Also if TSM became a Chinese company there is also debate as to delisting Chinese stocks on the US stock exchanges if they don't meet the SEC reporting requirements. All speculative at this point I understand.
I am wondering about your thoughts on whether a company like Micron (MU) in the US might be a safer alternative given the current direction of the US government to produce products at home like semiconductors, and the potential for government assistance as well. I also own Nvidia so are they too similar to MU and I should add to NVDA on pullbacks or put some in both?
Q: Our grand-daughter, age 19, needs help with investing mid 6 figures $$, with funds not needed for 10 years or more. She is seeking guidance from her parents and grandparents with this. We would appreciate if you could provide appropriate suggestions and some direction.
