Investment Q&A

Not investment advice or solicitation to buy/sell securities. Do your own due diligence and/or consult an advisor.

Q: I have recently learned that the Kyndrel spinoff has been finalized. I have a position in IBM, so I expect I will be receiving some Kyndrel shares. Should I hold or sell these and buy more shares of IBM? I am a patient investor and understand the turnaround at IBM may take some time still.

My stake in IBM is in a dividend-focused portfolio with a risk profile similar to that of the 5i Income Portfolio (though holdings differ). Thank you.

Q: Hello 5i team!

Kindly provide your analysis of recent earnings results and management commentary?

To what do you attribute the stock price drop?

You have previously mentioned an overhang in relation to unresolved legal dispute. What is the issue? Was there any reference to it in the earnings release or management commentary?

At this time what is your 1 to 3 year medium for this stock price?

Thank you for your helpful and knowledgeable analysis and opinions.

Q: Hello, I just realized that the sector classification for Google is now "Communication Services". Do you agree with this classification? I thought it was classified under "Technology". I currently hold Bell and Telus in the Communication Services sector, would you advise that I put Google in the same sector as them? Thank you

Q: Invesco has an etf with downside hedge, pdhg.
I see it performed well in march 2020. Would you have an opinion on this as part of the more defensive side of portfolio?
Thanks
