Q: Hi 5i Research Team,

Building a value stock portfolio for both long term and shorter term results (Santa Clause Rally) and looking for potential stocks that could be described as "under valued" and can be classified as recession defensive as well in both Canada and the US. Was wondering if you could list 5 picks from both Canada and the US?

Thanks in advance for your helpful advice!

Q: APPF recently received a downgrade due to concerns about future growth that led to continued decrease in price. Interested in hearing your current perspective on APPF. Is their software and services something that is needed by the real estate industry? What are the current practices and options other than APPF products? What is the potential for expansion for APPF within the industry?

Q: Hi 5i Team - Could you provide a summary of the fundamentals for IES Holdings including cash on hand, free cash flow and a measure of its profitability. Could you also provide its growth potential over the next 3 to 5 years and if possible indicate the ratio of organic growth to growth by acquisition. Also what are the insider holdings and has there been any significant buying or selling over the past few months. Is this a company that could benefit substantially from the dramatic increase of data centres needed for AI purposes.
Thanks.

Q: Hello 5i,

NVDA is our largest position. GOOGL is 2nd and AAPL is 5th . With potential headwinds for GOOGL (except for Waymo) and AAPL (lower sales and China bs), would it be prudent to trim a full position of GOOGL and/or AAPL to a ¾ or ½ position and reallocate funds to other stocks?

We have a few options for those funds. Sector allocation is not important.

Increase positions in 1 or 2 of: CROX, ASPN, TMDX, CLBT, UBER, AMD, AVGO
Add new positions in 1 or 2 of: CECO, CRM, SMCI, VRT, SNOW, AAON, BKNG

Thank you

D&J

Q: Hello 5I
I wish you all a happy Thanksgiving and Thank you for all you do for us.
I recently bought some Honeywell (HON)shares thinking that the spinout that they announced was a good move. I was comparing them to Fortive (FTV) (Not many past questions on this company) and now I am not sure if they are the better vehicle. Could you please weigh in on this and if needed, add any other name thar you may like more. I am not worried about tax implications of selling. Which direction would you take if it was your portfolio?
Once again, Thank you
Jeremy

Q: I am overweight in Costco and will sell some shares. I would like to reinvest the funds in one of the 3 Co listed. I have well balanced portfolios, although somewhat overweighted in Tech. Which of the 3 would you consider the best option? Thanks for your great service.
