Q: With all the megacap tech names earnings being released, and seeing the pullbacks and future estimate adjustments etc. If you had to chose one of the above to invest in, which would it be and why? Thx
Q: Can you please comment on Pinterest (PINS) latest earnings released yesterday. Was there anything of particular interest to note from the call this morning (either good or bad)? Has the ARPU continue to improve? Would you recommend adding to a position that is down for its high or give it more time?
Q: Re your answer to Cheryl today, and your recommendation for 8 stocks that have been stable and performed well over time. Can you recommend a handful of US stocks that fulfill the same goals. Not concerned over sectors.
Thanks, Peter
Q: I have some shares of twitter. I see that the offer price at my brokers is 53.70? I thought the offer price was over 54$. What are my options to sell this stock now.
Q: Hi
If I want to have global exposure to Oil and Gas sector, NOT just Canadian or the US market, is IXC the only ETF option? Or should I buy XLE and add some other ETF which has exposure to Shell, Royal Dutch and other large European big oil cos? My search doesn't seem to yield anything that includes a nice balance between North America and European companies other than IXC. Any suggestions?
Your answers to others' questions seem to suggest that there is some more gain to be made in energy sector. (Paraphrasing here!) Hence this question. I already own XLE/XEG in different accounts.
Thanks in advance.
Q: I think PINS was the only social media stock that the market liked during earnings season. What is it doing right, finally, that the others are not?
Thanks
Q: I asked about COHR (formerly IIVI) last week and haven't seen a reply yet I am down 63% on it and wondering if I should hold or move on.
Thank You
Peter
Q: In January, regarding the above to companies, you stated "We don't like the valuations in the sector (especially RIVN, LCID)..."
My question is, after a significant drop in both, and the requirements for European countries to move into EV's in the coming years, is it reasonable to take a small position in one or both to sit on the shelf for 10 years. Is there another co (next to Tesla) that might be a better "shelf" stock. Thanks!
Q: It's been a while since a question has been asked on this and the stock has taken even more of a beating. With oat prices going down and everything else going on, could this be a buy now? Thoughts?
Q: good afternoon,
What would recommend buying in US small caps.
Maybe 3 stocks. I would complement with either IWO or the general small cap index.
Growth index should have more tork coming out of recession?
Q: I submitted the below question the afternoon of Oct 24 & as of the morning of Oct 27 have not received a reply. Does the question require extra time to research or did the question get misplaced? What is the average time for a question to get answered?
What do you think of Whirlpool, WHR, as an investment. Presently their dividend is $7 US or 5.3%. Is the dividend sustainable. Thanks … Cal
Q: Hi Everyone at 5i!!!
First, I would like to thank everyone for your support and hand holding in these trying market times!! You have helped me keep panic and the temptation of emotional selling at bay. My question: I am building TFSA’s for my kids . Could you please give me 5 long term holds either US or Canadian which you think hold decent growth prospects for the future for them . I understand that you do not have a manic crystal ball . Cheers, Tamara
