Q: With the tsx dropping over the last few weeks and valuations adjusting for companies you like. What would be your top 3 Canadian and top 3 US names that you would start a position in, if buying today for the long term? Thx

Q: My health sector holdings consist of ABBV and IHI, both in a non-registered account. Neither have been stellar performers lately, but both are still up (ABBV by 28%, IHI by 50%). I have my eye on LLY, but the tax consequences of trimming or selling either ABBV or IHI are making me think twice. What would you do in my position? Thank you.

Q: I had a partial fill on a buy order for PFE and did not return to top up my holding . My position is too small to leave as is and I am unsure whether to add to the position or exit entirely. PFE is included in various dividend models, e.g. the AAII Dividend portfolio and the MS Global Dividend model. This prompted me to hang on. So did the many words by financial writers and commentators who have almost all been talking-up the health care sector for at least a year. Most comments by financial professionals and analysts are on how and why they expect the health care sector finally to catch up. Their focus on demographics does make sense. Yet, nothing happens to liven up the shares in pharma businesses, outside of a few stars like LLY and NVO. The share price of PFE itself has done nothing but decline. Do you the company has good prospects— good enough to ADD to the position? Or do you think I should just exit and be done with it ? (And give up on all the darn reading as research often gets one nowhere).

Q: Hi 5i, I have held Medtronic for just over 3 years and am down 30%. Do you think it's worth holding another year or two (as do a number of the analysts) or should I cut bait and redeploy the funds into LLY? Other suggestions are welcome. Do you feel Intuitive Surgical is overvalued or a good long term call? Thanks!

Q: Thanks to your sage advice, I am up significantly (again) on NVDA. Last year, I let it run up to 10% of my holdings, sold half and purchased VRT (now up 30%). NVDA has now increased to 8% of my portfolio. I understand there are multiple drivers currently at work turbo-charging the price of this stock (earnings, stock split, upcoming DOW listing, forced acquisition by ETFs, etc.). All this prompts three questions. How large would YOU let your NVDA grow as a percentage of your portfolio before trimming? Assuming you wanted to trim, when do you think the stock price will start leveling off (assuming the absence of black swan events)? If you wanted to take some profit and invest it outside tech, what would be your three highest conviction US stocks today? AMZN, MSFT, VRT, GOOG, V, and J already held. Thank you.

Q: Good Morning - I need to trim Nvidia a little. Can you please suggest a few high conviction names for TFSA (US or CDN) with a similar risk profile. Thanks!

Q: Would you buy this today or would you add more nvda? I also have avgo in the semi space along with smci. Maximum growth potential is my primary consideration followed close second by not wanting undue risk. Thank you.

Q: CNR. Have you heard any news re the potential reason for the downhill trajectory in the stock over the course of the last 2 weeks?

PLTR. In an opposite sense, any news re the upside being experienced by this company over the course of the last 2 weeks. I did see a target price of $29 recently but everything I've heard is that the company's forecast was ok (nothing special), I've heard many analysts reiterate that the companies stock was overvalued, ...

Would you be a buyer for either of the above at current prices? If not, would you wait for a better price? Thanks.

Q: I own both of these companies and i see a recent question that you rate QSR better for growth in the future over CMG. Look at the 5 year return of both of these companies and it is like black and white. CMG has been fabulous and no return from QSR, why i still hold QSR is only hoping that one day, one day, that something positive will happen. The only person that makes money on this company is the overpaid CEO.

Q: Would you please explain stock prices that move up sharply or down sharply for a short period, perhaps only one trade, before resuming the previous price trend? An example would be NVDA that moved sharply down to $133.50ish from the $1.35s at the close yesterday before moving right back up to the $1.35s.
How does this happen and who benefits from it?
Thanks for being there for us to ask questions like this.

Q: I currently hold COST, WMT, and ADT in consumer staples and am wondering if switching WMT and or ADT for either PRMW, L, or DOL would give me better growth going forward? Or do you have a better option?

Thanks,
