Q: In light of the market backdrop & the poor Q on Aug 8 resulting in a 14% haircut that day along with your comments,I humbly and painfully think it will take time for PLTR to recover.Have a 50% loss. of which 66% of shares in my investment a/c & balance in Tsfa.Thinking of selling & replaced it by better stocks like Goog,Amzn,Bam.a,Atd.Please provide u opinion & rank the above stocks starting with best. Please feel free to provide 2 or 3 stocks that u prefer. Please comment on Mgni Q2 results released today. In After Hours it was at $8.61, a drop of 6.82% Again its it timely to sell at some 53% loss in investment a/c and replace with above stocks. Please comment. Q: I want to thank all of you at 5i for this excellent service that you provide. This question is concerning the takeover offer put up by applovin. Is this a low ball bid? Is it a possibility that another company might give it some loving and bid on it as well (bidding war)? I’m under water so I’m just contemplating when to crystallize the loss. Please deduct as many credits as required.

Q: Hello, I saw that there are seven new CDRs from CIBC: Verizon, McDonald's, Nike, Starbucks, Coca-Cola, United Health, and Cisco. Without going into the CDRs versus buying on American exchanges debate, I am curious to know if some of these stocks are worth buying today, which ones, the reason why and in what order (from most compelling to least)., presumably for a 5-year holding period. Thanks.

Q: Assuming we are due for a rebound, can you provide your top 5 Canadian and top 5 US growth stocks that you would be buying today for a 3 year hold. Any commentary would be helpful.

Thanks for all your great advice.

Q: MPW pays a dividend of some 7%. I do hold a small position and am wondering if I should maintain or exit. I like the yield but in the past I have not had capital appreciation success with "high yield" stocks and usually ended with a net loss. I don't see any reason to exit except the high yield is telling me the market knows something I do not. Am I "over-reacting" ? Thanks John

Q: My daughter opened her first TFSA a few years ago. She is planning on using it to save for retirement, so has a very long time horizon. She has 25% in ZSP (S&P 500 ETF) and 15% in XIT (Canadian technology ETF). Together we chose some fun stocks to complete her portfolio. We are happy with most of our picks – Disney (DIS), Crowdstrike (CRWD), Intuitive Surgical (ISRG), Snowflake (SNOW) and CN Rail (CN). But we are wondering about four – Twilio (TWLO), Etsy (ESTY), Paypal (PYPL) and Upstart (UPST). All have dropped since she bought, but what do you think of the longer term potential of these? Would you swap any out? If so, for what?

Thanks,
Kim

Q: Hi, I am looking for quality US stocks that do not give out a dividend like BRK.B and GOOG and are unlikely to start issuing dividends in the next years. Can you suggest 4-5 other names?
