Q: Hi folks,
I am looking to add 3 of CSU, AAPL, MSFT, GOOGL or VISA for some growth to my otherwise conservative RRSP portfolio. May I have your 3 recommendations that could add some "zip" to my RRSP account. Looking at a 10 year time frame.
Thanks,

Q: I am catching up on my reading and got to your article about Canadian Stocks that pay US dividends.

I do own a number of them. Most of them are in US accounts at my broker I guess it makes sense to have all of them on the US side to avoid loss of currency conversion.

Are there any other reasons?

Thanks

Sheldon

Q: I currently have approximately 2% of my retirement portfolio invested in Goldman Sachs Business Development Corporation Inc. (GSBD). I hold this investment primarily for the dividend income it generates. It has however been an absolutely terrible performer from a preservation of capital perspective over the past few years and every time it reports earnings it seems that the Net Asset Value per share has somehow dropped from the previously reported period. I am therefore considering switching out of GSBD and into Starwood Property Trust (STWD). i would value your opinion on that suggested trade.

If you might happen to feel that neither of these firms is a particularly advisable investment for anyone to hold then please don't be shy about saying so.

Thank you!

Q: Recently there has been some work done on distortions introduced by excluding stock based compensation from the financial statements. According to one London fund manager adding back $1.8 billion of compensation expenses actually places Intuit's P/E ratio at 43 rather than 28 times, which on the face of it seems worrisome. What is your take on this?

Q: I am thinking to start a position in the defense sector for a 3-5 year hold. Is this a sector you see much upside and volatility in? Has the worlds tensions and conflicts already been priced into the share prices? What would be your top three defense companies to consider?

Thank you in advance for your great advice!!

Q: For approximately 10 month of the last year (March 22 to Jan 23) AMD and NVDA stock prices acted similarly but in Feb 23 ADM stock price leveled off and then dropped while NVDA continued to climb. Was there any specific circumstance that caused this divergence? At this time what entry price for each of these stocks would you suggest. Thanks
Mike
