Q: Could you please describe SPSC’s business model, competitive advantages or weaknesses? What are the key factors that would support a long term investment in SPSC? Would you be confident in their earnings forecast? Could SPSC be a takeover candidate?

Q: Hi Team,
Currently, what's your thoughts on the Trade Desk? I have been reading how this year might be a big one for advertising. Do you expect them to turn around after being weak since their last earnings miss? Is it worth holding or is there better opportunities I should be buying with the funds instead? My shres are held inside a TFSA with a considerable % gain. Thanks

Shane.

Q: Robotics were a big part of the latest CES show in Las Vegas.

I would like to know what your best investment ideas to play this secular trend. I believe with the increased cost of labour this trend will only accelerate.
I am looking for your best stocks or ETF ideas to put in an RRSP to profit from this assumption.

Thanks for all your ideas and insights.

Q: Do you think long term investors will eventually be rewarded? Their software is installed in 54% of cars coming off assembly lines worldwide, have announced some big partnerships since beginning of December, are expanding into the fitness industry, yet share price really hasn’t moved.
Thanks for your insight.

Q: ESSA Pharma is just one example of an exciting pharma in a topically interesting (prostate cancer, aging population…) area but with impenetrable valuation characteristics. Can you say whether this stock’s prospects are worth its price? Are there other early-stage pharmas you like?

Q: Hi,

I would like to purchase a large, dividend paying US stock that has some potential for future growth (or is currently undervalued) in my RRSP. Could you provide some suggestions?

Thank you,

Q: I am looking for new healthcare stocks after selling Lantheus and InMode in the last 6 months. I currently own WELL. Quite a few have had a good run up lately so not sure if they are good buys at current valuations. What are recommendations? US or CAD, doesn’t matter. Should I buy an ETF instead?
Thank you in advance

Q: Hi,

Was looking at these two mid cap ETF's and noticed that for VO, the market cap of companies that it holds is a lot higher than the companies held in IJH. I would have thought that mid cap companies are usually around $2-15B. Many of the VO companies are >$40B, whereas the IJH companies are <$20B. Why the large difference in market cap between these two ETF's? What is the average mkt cap of holdings for each ETF? And would you be indifferent between IJH and VO? Thanks!

In your reply to Ric this morning, you provided an interesting list of Canadian agressive growth stocks.

Gratefully,

Q: Hi 5i
Currently a share holder of WBA....
Regarding previous 5i comments about WBA, its debt and large dividend.......
Now that WBA has cut dividend by nearly 50%, where do you see it going from here?
Is it a good time to consider or still require wait and see? Attractive entry point at what price?
What has to happen next in this story?
Thx
jim

Q: For a 3 year hold, how would you rate these stocks, 1 means "forget it", 10 means "high growth expected": Nvei.to, shop.to, payfare.to, LSPD.to, PayPal, afrm, upst?

If possible, what would be a good entry price? Thanks

Q: There is so much buzz in media about the Magnificent Seven- the latest grouping that alleges dominance from these mega cap leaders and how 2024 is likely to see them fall from grace at least in momentum rallies, or at least in contrast to others.
Don’t support this assertion, ie is there relative price and growth rate relative to others such that they are due to get leapfrogged, or worse decline? I feel like this same line has been towed for several years and look at five and ten year growth rates for any of these as examples.
If you had some chunk of change would you lean here or elsewhere, say to financials or industrials?
