Q: CNR. Have you heard any news re the potential reason for the downhill trajectory in the stock over the course of the last 2 weeks?

PLTR. In an opposite sense, any news re the upside being experienced by this company over the course of the last 2 weeks. I did see a target price of $29 recently but everything I've heard is that the company's forecast was ok (nothing special), I've heard many analysts reiterate that the companies stock was overvalued, ...

Would you be a buyer for either of the above at current prices? If not, would you wait for a better price? Thanks.

Q: I own both of these companies and i see a recent question that you rate QSR better for growth in the future over CMG. Look at the 5 year return of both of these companies and it is like black and white. CMG has been fabulous and no return from QSR, why i still hold QSR is only hoping that one day, one day, that something positive will happen. The only person that makes money on this company is the overpaid CEO.

Q: Would you please explain stock prices that move up sharply or down sharply for a short period, perhaps only one trade, before resuming the previous price trend? An example would be NVDA that moved sharply down to $133.50ish from the $1.35s at the close yesterday before moving right back up to the $1.35s.
How does this happen and who benefits from it?

Q: Hi 5i, I have the following stocks (NVDA CSU LMN HPS.A BN XDIV RY CNQ JPM BRK.B VDY ENB) equally distributed in my rrsp, these stocks are generating 75% of my dividend-income goal. Q: I read with interest your (excellent) advice about ‘when to sell a stock for fundamental reasons’ as I believe I often sold for wrong reasons, and I want to ‘learn’ to do it for better reasons. You mention the following:
‘In the case of volatility, if a name is jumping by 5% or more any given day, it is tough to call it an ‘investment’ anymore as it becomes more of a bet on a given day’s move. Again, some investors will make money here, but we would far prefer to look elsewhere at this stage.’
Vertiv (VRT) is one of the stocks you often mention as one that is taking full advantage of AI because of its ‘privileged’ involvement in data centre cooling technology and is in a ‘growth spurt’ that affects the stock price and is worth considering at this stage of AI growth investing. ( you do add it won't last forever, though…) Nonetheless, it is trading lately with large daily swings (of 5% and, even, sometimes 10%). In which way would it be different then and tough to call it an investment vs a speculation? I feel the same goes for Propel Holdings (PRL) which is another small but rapidly growing company because of an interesting business model. (it too, lately, also appears to be on an up and down elevator ride.) Would you care to explain the difference in reasoning please?

Q: I have held EA for almost five years, and it has only gone up 8% in all that time. My son is a gamer and said that other than F1, all the games he plays are made by other video game makers. So, I am thinking of selling and either adding to my IRJ (small caps) position or starting a new position in IJH (mid caps). Do you see much potential in EA? Am I too late to buy IJH? My other thought was maybe Uber? Everyone seems to use Uber these days. Thank you.

Q: Was just about to step in to my first purchase of NEE when they make a big equity sale announcement at $50? Am I getting that right? The stock trades at $69 today. That seems extreme. The news release is very hard for me to decipher. Can you explain this in layman's terms and whether this is good or bad for today's valuation? Would you step in here or wait for things to settle down?

Q: Can you explain the differences between qqq and elk? What are the strengths and weaknesses of each? What are the differences in their portfolio composition? Which would you hold for pure growth?

Q: I understand that XL K will be rebalancing on Friday after market closing. Currently Nvidia has a 6 to 7% weighting in the XL K. This will increase with the rebalancing given the large increase in Nvidia’s value.
will this necessarily mean that the XLK will open at a significantly higher price next week. And would that justify adding to XLK now. Thank you.
