Q: For approximately 10 month of the last year (March 22 to Jan 23) AMD and NVDA stock prices acted similarly but in Feb 23 ADM stock price leveled off and then dropped while NVDA continued to climb. Was there any specific circumstance that caused this divergence? At this time what entry price for each of these stocks would you suggest. Thanks

Q: Hi team ,
I am holding onto smaller positions of the following names which I am down huge on : Sq, Twlo, Apps. I have held these through the tech wreck riding them to the ground. My question is do I keep holding onto them at this point waiting for more recovery , or do I consolidate them and buy a different position? If they are sells, what would be your most promising names to buy today? Some I were looking at were Ats, Crox , Bn. Thanks .

Q: hello 5i:
would like your take on this ETF, for a registered account. We're looking for sustainable income: I've reviewed the sector and holdings breakdowns and realize the fund will not do as well in a bull market. Part of the reason we're so interested is that Seeking Alpha’s Quant system rates DIVO the very best nontraditional equity derivative income fund out of 14 choices, which is a fantastic stamp of approval.
If (a big word), we return to a bull market where growth handily beats value, DIVO should still see gains in NAV, correct? And the yield (around 5%), should be sustainable, correct? What have we not thought of here, or in other words, what are the red flags we've missed?
thanks

Q: Good afternoon,

Q1. I would appreciate your thoughts on initiating a position in the Semiconductor sector at this time.

Q2. What are your thoughts on XSD ETF and do you have a better recommendation in this sector.

Many thanks and I'll await for your response and sage advice.

Q: Your answers to questions about Jacob Solutions have consistently been very positive but the stock seems to be fairly flat in recent times, it has not participated in the positive run than a lot of the markets have enjoyed in the last few months, the promise of benefiting from the suggested infrastructure spending program (did this ever happen?) has not materialized, and the share price is down about 15% from where it was at 12 months ago.

Can you give us a detailed review of its financial metrics and can you tell us why you continue to like this company? Thanks for your excellent service.

Q: I am debating between Costco and Siemens for a roughly 2% position. I have slightly more Consumer Discretionary versus Consumer Staples exposure, but I feel like I have decent expsoure to each. Costco interests me as potential long-term holding with a track record of consistent success; Siemens interests me for its broad exposure to all things technological, including the fields of automation, medicine, power distribution and electrification. I could ultimately buy each, but I only have enough free capital to purchase one of the two at this moment. Using the criterion of a five-year time horizon or longer, which would you deem to be a more prudent investment?

Q: I have a 2% position (of overall portfolio) in Savaria, and up until I looked up its sector classsification, I had considered it to be in the healthcare space, given it is in the business of improving accessibility for those who are physically challenged. As per the Yahoo! Finance portal, Savaria is listed as an industrial company. This investment is held in a RRSP account, so capital gains taxes are not a concern.

My questions are as follows:

- Is it reasonable for me to continue considering this as a healthcare investment, due to its target consumer base?

- Using a long-term (at least five years or longer) time horizon, would you be able to name any other potential companies of interest in the healthcare sector in both the Canadian and US spaces which I could target as potential replacements? The availability of a dividend from a replacement investment would not be a requirement for consideration for me: I am primarily concerned with total return over a longer time horizon.

- Of these companies, would any of them serve as probabilistically (given there are no guarantees in investing) better investment vehicles given the time horizon I have provided?

As always, I appreciate your time, and I look forward to reading your response. Thanks so much!
