Q: I've owned IQLT for a few years now. I've noticed that the VEA top holdings are quite similar to IQLT, but at a significantly reduced MER. Is it really worth paying that much more to continue to hold IQLT? Maybe you have better insight on the differences between the two than I do (?)

Q: I'm asking for 5i's opinion on your current (5) best asset-light company ideas - Canadian and / or American - that have:

- financial stability

- strong competitive position today and into the future

- in a sector that is not threatened by disruption

- attractive valuation at today's prices

Q: Came across this small US company who's subsidiary Airobotics has been awarded a new deal from an undisclosed semiconductor company to leverage their fleet of drones for aerial security purposes.
Could you please give me any information on this info if possible and would you provide any analysis you have on this company?

Q: Hello Peter and team,

Early December, you said DECK trades at 34X forward earnings, a bit expensive but you like it.

Looking at technicals, it is way above the 200 daily moving average. After the big run it has had for the last 2 years, do you think it would be better to wait before buying, expecting it to retrace back to the 200 DMA?

Do you think it still has room to go higher? What would be your target price?

Q: Are there any broad US market ETF's that I can buy in Canadian dollars that will be neutral to whether the Canadian dollar goes up or down vs the US. I am worried that if I convert too much money to USD at the current rate, it might backfire on me if our dollar somehow rallies, (which seems unlikely right now, but who knows)

Q: Happy New year to everyone!

My TFSA is strictly US growth. I'm looking at the software space as I'm tech oriented.

I do own MSFT, ORCL on it's recent decline.

Some of the players are fairly expensive or have some negative momentum. NOW, SNPS, CDNS are 3 candidates.

Would you have a preference of these looking forward accounting for current value etc?
A top tier selection that isn't one of these?

I'm looking for your thoughts and a reasonable entry. Of course this is 3+ year hold.

Q: Happy New Year to 5i and members, wishing all a prosperous investing year ahead.

It's time to make my annual TFSA contribution. I own AAPL, ADBE CRM, GOOG, NVDA, PYPL, QCOM, and TOL in my TFSA.

I would like to add to one position, which do you recommend? I am overweight NVDA so do not wish to add to that one.

Does 5i consider any of these positions in the 'do not need to own' category? If so, please recommend a replacement (not LLY, MDT, IBM, or MSFT; I own full positions of these in another account). The focus of this account is US equities with a risk profile somewhere between that of the 5i Balanced and Growth portfolios, and the objective is long-term capital appreciation.
