Q: Just curious on your take on nly. The dividend is attractive and US housing seems less perilous than Canada.

Q: I am puzzled by the sudden rise in AMGN share price today. The only news I see is from a week ago, that the FDA completed a report on the Lung Cancer drug Lumakras, voting *against* full approval. The drug was conditionally approved in May 2021, and I believe the condition was that Amgen had to complete a comparative trial, showing it was more effective than other treatments like chemotherapy, in order to receive full approval. But it sounds like their trial failed due to dropouts from their "other treatment" group.
Why would this "rejection" result in a sudden rise in share price? Or is it due to something else, like a broker upgrade?

Q: ROKU had a great 2023. Towards year end, it was hit with a couple of downgrades. 5i continues to like it, in response to Q&As. Could you please list the top 2-3 reasons you have for ROKU to have another good year(s). I am not expecting it to duplicate its 2023 success, but looking to quantify whether ROKU has several more years of growth.
Q: I HAVE LOST ABOUT 50% OF THE VALUE IN SQ. SHOULD I HOLD IT OR SELL IT. IF YOU SUGGEST TO SELL IT , THEN WHICH ONE WOULD BE BETTER NVDA OR SMCI.
THANKS FOR YOUR CONTINUED GOOD ADVICE.

Q: Hi Peter and Staff
No rush ... Happy New Year......just watched a BNN Market Call and guest tried to justify decline in his past pick JNJ by saying the numbers do not include the spinout (Kemba)? ........I held JNJ through that spin out period and never received any of the spinout. It would seem logical the price would drop after a spin out but how does that affect those who never got the spinout?
Thanks for all you do
Dennis

Q: What are your thoughts on Lincoln National (LNC)?
Q: I’d appreciate your thoughts on the healthcare company Certara (CERT).
- Apple Inc. (AAPL)
- Adobe Inc. (ADBE)
- Alphabet Inc. (GOOG)
- NVIDIA Corporation (NVDA)
- PayPal Holdings Inc. (PYPL)
- QUALCOMM Incorporated (QCOM)
- Salesforce Inc. (CRM)
- Toll Brothers Inc. (TOL)
Q: In my US denominatedm growth-focused TFSA, I own CRM, PYPL, TOL, AAPL, GOOG, ADBE, QCOM, and NVDA. It is time for me to make my annual contribution.
I am underweight PYPL; should I add to it or replace PYPL with something else? If I should replace it, please suggest two or three good candidates for long-term growth, US-based, sector/cap size unimportant, risk profile somewhere between that of your growth and balanced portfolios. If I remove PYPL, I'd rather add a new position than add to one of my current positions.
In your answer, please do not include MSFT, IBM, PFE or MDT, since I have full positions in these in my other accounts.
I've been a 5i member since 2016 and have been served well by your service; thanks for a great seven years. I remember starting a position in CSU at around $600 and thinking I was 'too late'.
Wishing 5i and all its members all the best for a prosperous 2024.
