Q: What do you think about Coke for a long time hold. Have held it for 3+yrs and it is flat other than the currency gain.

Q: Hi Peter, Ryan and all at 5i

I am thinking that HD would provide good exposure to the housing and consumer rebound in the US but we have already missed a 5 bagger on this stock in the last 5 years.

Do you think a 5 year time frame for this company would work for initiating a position now?

Q: I mistakenly stumbled on Gartner in the U.S. when looking up the chart for Intertain since they have the same ticker symbol. I was amazed to see Gartner has a sharp straight up chart since 2009 that always bounces off the 200 day moving average, which is where it's currently at. I've never seen Gartner mentioned here or on Stockchase. It's a technology research company that touches every industry and operates in 85 countries. Sounds like my kinda stock. Any comment? Thank you.

Q: I believe that 5i puts more faith in Point and Figure charts than just about any other technical indicator; when the Diamonds - DIA - were at $165 last week the bearish price objective was $151, which was met last Monday. Currently stockcharts.com has a bearish target of $123 which would imply a further downside from here of over 4000 points on the Dow Jones Industrial Average. The SPY target is $153, almost as bad in % terms. Any comment on these observations? Also how much use are P&F targets on indexes vs. individual securities? Thanks, J.

Q: I am panning to add VGH to my TFSA. The distribution history on the vanguard website shows no eligible dividends. Does that mean that there would be no US withholding tax on this investment, as I thought that the tax only applies to eligible dividends.

Q: Way down over last little while: good dividend, high ROE, ROI and trades at PE of 6, drug in long-term trial & if successful would mean a huge incr. in scripts, sold off some OTC products to another company. Q: With the recent downturn would Google or Apple be a good company to pick up.

Google seems like a company you can buy and hold onto for a very long time.

I understand US exposure isn't your focus, but you do recommend exposure to various markets for diversification.

Q: Hi. I own this ETF and like it at this stage because it is hedged. Even though our dollar is still going down, I figure that we should be close to the end of the spectrum. What do think of this product? Would you have another product - ETF or mutual fund - to suggest for exposure to the US with the hedge component. As a rule, do US mutual funds managers use hedging?
