Q: Was wondering if you could please comment on the big US bank stocks. Where do you see them heading in the short and long-term?? I am particularly interested in JPM, C and BAC. Are they buys, hold or sell?? More interested in the long-term outlook. Thanks.

Q: Hi 5I Team,
Panera Bread is a very popular restaurant chain in the US. My wife and I have enjoyed the food there and noticed how busy it is. It recently had quite a drop in share price. What are your thoughts on taking a small position in this Company. Thanks as always.

Q: Hi 5i Team,
I plan to establish a long term holding position for NYSE:SCI for the uniqueness of its business, its leading market position as well as relative high barrier. But, I have a little concern about its high P/E and debt ratio.
Looking for your valuable comments.
Thanks a lot.

Q: Hi there
With the recent pullback in BX (Blackstone Group) do you think this is a good entry point for a long term hold. I am looking at getting some dividend yield (I realize this could be cut at anytime) and some growth. Also as a US holding would the dividends/capital gains etc. escape the typical withholding amounts, or does the structure of BX differ from a typical US company.
Much thanks
Stuart

Q: Would you sell Silver Wheaton (SLW) to buy BHP Billiton PLC (BBl) at this time? I am trying to generate more dividends.
Thanks Wayne.
Thanks Wayne.
Q: Hello Peter and co,
I am considering adding either TWX or DIS to my portfolio. I am looking for growth and income with an emphasis on more stability. Which would you prefer (and why)?
Thanks for your great service!

Q: HI & thanks 5i team. Young family man w/too little time to follow holdings as would like. Hope this ? w/I ballpark. Own GABC Nasdaq. Was going to add til realized reported today (always seems to run after earnings). Your view on said earnings & co, particularly in light of impact on same of most recent acquisition, would be most helpful as I examine long term p/folio plan. Appreciate size & local market risk assoc w/holding, but mgt never seems to disappoint.
Thanks for anything you can offer, Joel

Q: Hi
What are your thoughts regarding the planned 7 for 1 split in AAPL. If you were to give AAPL a rating what would it be and why?
Thanks

Q: Peter, while the US biotech sector has continued to correct, CELG seems to have stabilised and some analysts are a fan. I am thinking of adding it to my $US account with a 2 year time frame. I do not currently hold any other biotech stocks. Any thoughts? Any alternative stocks I should consider?
Q: OZM "Och-Ziff Capital Management Group" shares had an unusual drop today. There are an investigation related to this company and I wonder how serious the allegation are? Do you think I should be selling my holding in this Company? It is a small portion of my holdings and my loss will be minimal.
Q: Hi guys. What do you think of Celgene (CELG)? It seems to be struggling this year, dropping from a high of $170 to $142. I'm thinking of taking my remaining profits and switching to American Waterworks (AWK). Clearly a very different company, but the stock seems very stable, with a decent 2% dividend. Do you think raising interest rates will impact it? Considering the combination of stock growth and dividends, which would you consider to be a better investment for 1 year or so? Thanks a lot!

Thanks

Q: Hello 5i Team,
Belgacom (BGAOY) looks like a good buy to my untrained eye, with a wonderful dividend, to purchase this I would probably sell China mobile. I’m looking for a good long term trade and do not want to flip flop between stocks for no reason. Also, can you give me your best two or three stocks outside Canada that have excellent long term potential with a great dividend, market cap is not my primary concern? Sorry about all the questions outside Canada, but I do follow your portfolios.
Many thanks

Q: Hi! I hope yesterday was fun :-) Re Qualcomm (QCOM, I wondered if you had any thoughts about the class action suit, announced yesterday by Harwood Feffer? There's no further info on either company's website, and I can't gauge how much of a threat it is... Do you have any information? Thanks, as always! kate
Q: Do you have an opinion on JC Penny (JCP) as a three year buy? They have been hammered but are showing signs they have the ability to recover and grow with the anticipated US economic improvement?
Thank you.
Steven
