Q: Do you think IBB, I shares Nasdaq biotech ETF is a good way to play the biotech sector as opposed to just picking an individual biotech stock?

Peter, although this may a bit beyond the mandate of 5i Research, I am very interested in 3-D printing investments. However, as it is an emerging technology with no clear winners yet, I am building a basket of 3-D printing stocks to cover all the bases and ensure that I hold the ultimate leaders in the sector. I currently hold:
3-D development, production and sales companies - 3-D Systems, Stratasys and ExOne
3-D measurement and imaging company - FARO Technologies
3-D prototype and mold production and sales company - Proto Labs
Robotics and automation - ROBO STOX ETF
I am very interested in information from 5i staff or members about any promising, emerging 3-D printing related companies that might be candidates to become viable players in this sector.
I do understand that my question may be far beyond the scope of this forum and that it may not receive any answers.
Thanks for your amazing service to retail investors.

Q: Any thoughts on XBI the spyder biotech ETF. MER is .35% Great diversification in a hot sector. I the party over? I am thinking of initiating a small position as a growth stock in my RRSP.
Q: Many of the gurus in the media are suggesting health care will perform well in 2014. Do you feel this area, particularly in the U.S., is overpriced at this time? I am looking at various U.S. listed ETFs (eg., Vanguard VHT) at this time.
Q: Happy New year to all. Can you please comment on CalAmp(CAMP-Q).

Q: Pater, What about Athersys symbol ATHX in the US. Looks like they have some special patent in the stem cell field and maybe acquired by Pziefer. Do you think this has substance as the price is rising? Thanks
Q: Thanks a lot to all of you at 5iResearch. I have been a member for the last 9 months, which have probably been the most profitable investing period I have ever known, in great part due to your advice and information form the Question section. Express Script (ESRX) is one of the few US stocks I own directly. Although this is not your area of expertise, I would like to know if selling ESRX and reinvesting in IWO might be a good move (I have primarily a well diversified Canadian equity portfolio), without consideration to risk or balancing and with a long time line?
Q: Hi Peter, what can you tell me about EA (Electronic Arts)? How have they performed lately, and what are their plans from a strategic perspective?
Q: Happy New Year to everyone at 5i.

Q: I can't decide what to do with Paladin (PLB): every time I go to sell it, the stock moves up sharply. Furthermore, I get confusing news and analyst downgrades on Endo (ENDP). The long quote below (sorry) is a sample of what confuses me. Does the market think that Endo would be better off without NuPathe? Any clarification you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
"NuPathe (PATH) looked to start a bidding war between Endo Health Solutions (ENDP) and Teva Pharmaceutical Industries (TEVA). .... NuPathe, meanwhile, said that it's reviewing a $114 million buyout offer from Teva, topping Endo's $105 million bid, which NuPathe accepted last month. .... Last week, Cantor Fitzgerald downgraded Endo based largely on the NuPathe acquisition, saying that the upcoming launch of its migraine treatment Zecuity would likely face stiff competition."

Q: Hi Peter and Team,
What are your thoughts on Starz, STRZA?

Q: Hi Peter and Team: Over time I've been trying to make my portfolio as similar as possible to your model. Since I own two of the big Canadian telcos in a separate portfiolio, I've been looking for something else to fill the missing 5%. I recently looked at tower companies. These are interesting, in particular because the three biggest US tower companies are rated "buys" by Morningstar, with fair values larger that their market value. However, based on their fundamentals (via Morningstar) I'm not sure what their growth prospects are (dividents are small to zero). I've heard some hype to the effect that 4G network proliferation will push their prices up. Can you shed any light on this family of stocks, in particular, American Tower (AMT, US)? Also, it and some others are now REITs. Does this cause any complications for a Canadian resident?
Q: Zix Corp ZIXI I noticed some Q's on internet security stocks. I own a bit of ZIXI. I thought it might be unfamiliar to your members. What do you think of it?
Q: Could I please have your opinion on two companies I am currently looking at: IEV and O. Thank you.
