Q: A Toronto Star article on Teachers Pension Plan investment successes mentioned that they invested in XPO, a USA stock. Would you recommend buying this now for a growth holding?

Q: As a shareholder in National Oilwell Varco (NOV.us) , I received shares when NOV spun off Now Inc (DNOW.us). Shares in DNOW are worth significantly less than now. Is DNOW worth keeping?

Q: Hello,
I know that a lot of folks would benefit if 5iResearch would start covering US stocks. I understand (from your previous answers) that this is very hard as you would like to have the same internal rules apply (that the team will not be allow to trade US equities) and because of that it's hard to find (good) people. I was wondering if we can find a middle of the road solution. The US market is much (much) bigger than the Canadian one and as such (and considering the size of 5iResearch membership) I think it's highly unlikely that will move the market one way or the other. And on top of that (not sure if it can be enforced 100%) you can require that any team member will not be allow to buy the stock(s) before the portfolio is made public.
Just a thought. Maybe there are other ideas out there.
Thank you
Marios

Q: At what point would it be safe to start looking at Molycorp again? From a $77 high in 2011, when the market seemed to be in love with it, it is now trading below $1. This morning's announcement -- that Siemens has selected MCP to supply its rare earth materials for the next 10 years -- has given it a tremendous bounce of course, but what should we be looking for before deciding to get back in -- if ever? Your comments are always valued.
Q: Agent. Would this be a good share to have in my portfolio.Eddie.
Q: Many cannabis startups are stagnant or declining, but CANN seems to be finding its feet. Is this just noise, or is CANN's pick-and-shovel focus getting traction in the market?
Q: Would appreciate your opinion on JOY. I bought at $44.04US and watched it go down. Thomson Reuters rates it a average score of only 3. Is it time to sell, or hold for a turn around in the mining sector, where most of their equipment is sold. Thanks Art
Q: Can I get your opinion on this company and how does it compare to SHAK? I'm looking for exposure to the US consumer and feel that the restaurant stocks might offer a good opportunity to capitalize. Thoughts?
Q: Hi Peter

Q: I am considering moving some money from an S&P 500 based ETF to a TSX 60 based ETF here now that the resource stocks decline has affected the TSX and made it better value here than the S&P 500. Am I thinking straight or does the momentum of the S&P 500 mean that I should keep my money in it? Diversification is not an issue for me, I am well diversified no matter what I do with this money, I am thinking in terms of timing here. Thanks.
Q: I have some US cash and I would like to earn relatively safe dividend income with it. I have found AT&T but I would like to hear your best ideas please.
Q: Since your mention of Cambrex CBM.US on March 20, 2015, it's gone up 20%, so thanks for that. I see Cambrex is presenting at the Annual Needham Healthcare Conference tomorrow (as of this writing), April 14.
"Needham & Company, LLC is a nationally recognized investment banking and asset management firm focused solely on growth companies and their investors," according to http://www.needhamco.com/Default/AboutUs/Overview.aspx.
What is your experience with the effects of this kind of event? Seems like it would boost investment, but should us retail investors jump on board too and go for the ride? Thank you.

Q: Hi Team, can I have your current view on Gilead? Is it a buy or do you prefer another US large cap company in the same sector. Thanks Rob
Q: Hi Peter & associates:
I own 500 shares of GM in my RRSP, partly to gain some foreign exposure and partly because the dividends aren't subject to U.S. withholding tax within an RRSP. Given the federal government's recent announcement to unload its shares onto the market in order to help it balance the budget, is it a good time to buy more?

Q: Any thoughts on FLR moving forward? Should I be concerned with FX headwinds?
Q: Can I have your opinion on these three? QSR trades on both TSX and US stock exchanges.

Q: Hey Peter & team,
In my capacity as a UIC at our locale baseball assoc I had the occasion while watching a couple of young umpires, to chat with a dad who... is in a fairly prominent position with EA. He mentioned they have just enjoyed a record best quarter and that their next report (end of April) should be very positive.
Jan 2014 you discussed EA painting a fairly positive picture while admitting you do not follow EA closely enough to be able to discuss their strategy at length. You did say they generate excellent cash flow (which my new friend mentioned as well) and that they have quite a bit of cash on hand.
Stock is up 46% in the past year. Can you tell me what your thoughts on it now, if you feel it is expensive, and if you would recommend it as a buy.
Thanks for all you do
Gord

Q: I hold both of these ETF's. In the same account. I suspect they are essentially quite similar , can you point out differences? Great service as always, we are all appreciative of your guidance.
Q: Todays announcement re disposing off the financial unit, plus buying back shares, plus increasing dividend, coupled with a ten fold increase in the no of shares traded today make a case to buy the stock now. Thinking of selling Bank of America and buying instead GE shares, AS A LONG TERM HOLD. Thanks
Q: Skyworks has been a very clear winner in the last year or so. Is it still a good time to invest now?
