Q: Hello,
I've been holding HAL for 1.5 years. With their recent acquisition of Baker Hughes (BHI), would it be wise to take my profits and exit?
Thank you

Q: Hi Team,
Would you please recommend a couple of US funds ETF'S geared towards income and growth, and one which is strickly income? safety of principal is a priority. I need a US dollar income stream, with a $100,000 to invest.
Q: Hi Guys
What would be your determining factors on deciding at what price to enter a stock like this. What stands out as being most impressive. It looks to be a good free cash flow generator
over 10 years, EPS 10yr average around 20%. Forward P/E at 35x seems high. Would the stable earnings over a 10 year period justify the valuations. Looking forward to your opinion.
what are your thoughts on Payment data systems? i know its a small market cap, however, their growth and the cash and cash equivalents of 60M vs their market cap of 19M makes no sense to me. am i missing something?
Have been watching GILD for a while now as I think there is tremendous potential. Having said that today it was reported AbbVIE appears to have pulled a bit of a fast one on GILD by convincing the patent office they have invented a novel computer model to predict effective combination therapies. This has apparently convinced the patent office the very same patents applied for by GILD back in Sept actually belong to AbbVIE.
It was these very patents which gave GILD such a big upside moving forward but now it appears with AbbVie jumping into the picture the market is not looking favorably at GILD with it down almost 10% in 10 days and dropping.
Both are now suing each other.
Can you shed any light on all this for us and exactly what it means for GILD moving forward.
Q: Northern Offshore, NFSHF on the pink sheets has really dropped and the yield is very high right now. Do you think dividend will be cut? I was also wondering if the dividend as well as any possible capital gains would be exempt from any witholding tax if I bought it in my TFSA account. Would now be a good time to buy?
Q: Hi Peter I am thinking of adding Bam And BA to my portfolio. Do you have an opinion on these 2. I am a moderate investor with a focus on steady growth
Q: CST seems to be having some positive momentum and flies under the radar for convenience and fuel stores. What is your opinion of CST as an addition to ATD.B and PKI in the sector for more US exposure? Thank you.
Q: Can you please comment on the following group of stocks for an RRSP for a 10 year old and a 7 year old; AYA, ATB.B, T, BNS, SLF, WCP, SJ, STN, ENB, CSU. Also, can you please suggest a US ETF to round out the account. Thanks!
Q: Greetings- Do you have knowledge of Rewalk. I had been most interested re: history of the robotics but did not realize it had an IPO. Just saw they reported earnings and think I'll buy 'a bit' now. Look forward to your comments. Thank you.
Q: Hi All! I'm a bit surprised you haven't had a previous question about this co. They have a factory just down the road from you! Yesterday CSIQ had a pretty wild day, in spite of recent quarterly results which seem pretty positive to me. What am I missing? Thanks!
Q: I picked up these 2 stocks while a member of Canadian Shareowners. While decent performers in the past couple years, both have seen steady declines, Jacobs from $63 in Dec 2013 to $43 in Nov., Flowserve from $78 to $67, same period. Is it time to bail and go a US ETF?
I have enjoyed a nice run with CSX being up 25% while collecting a nice increasing div.
Yesterday it was announced CSX is looking at cutting at least 300 workers... initially through buyouts and/or service package offers. The article went on to mention should the offers not be accepted by January enabling the company to reach the 300 number, "involuntary layoffs may take place."
CEO Michael Ward said "the plan is part of a series of steps designed to reduce operating costs amid what Ward said are serious declines in some of its businesses, especially coal..."
My question.... should I cut and run and be happy with what I have or would you suggest holding tight and not being concerned with this report?
Q: Would you consider both or either of these companies a buy? One is on the TSX, the other in NY and more concentrated in one area (rice). Might you have other preferences?
Your insights are appreciated!
Q: Nuance Communications NUAN (US)
I thought Carl Icahn’s investment in NUAN would shake things, but it is down ~20% from a year ago. Any hope for NUAN? Other technology companies are said to have looked at buying NUAN but no offers.
I do not want to shoot this dog, but... (I can't use the tax loss). Your comment would be much appreciated.
Thank you
Adam
