Q: - I sense something happening these days with the whole space in tech, with AI, Information, etc on how its controlled, used, etc...
- Companies like Google and Microsoft have been targeted with lawsuits from many countries, based on Size , Monopoly and Other concerns...
- Companies like NVDA, ARM,AAPL and META are also included in my question...
- The Trump Factor is also a concern...
1. How do you see this playing out for these tech companies playing out ? Short/Long Term
2. Which are the best in class to weather the storm ?
3. Who is the Most Vulnerable To successful lawsuits against or breakup?
4. Best Pick/Picks To Buy and Hold Going Forward??
I am down 50% on LSPD at an average cost of 51CAD/share.
I figure if LSPD is sold today even at $30CAD/share, I would lose about 40% of the original investment which is about 2.25% of the total portfolio.
I can average down with enough funds to break even if the company is sold at $30 CAD. My hesitation is what if the company is NOT sold. I am sure the price will halve from where it is now. I am pretty sure you would hold and would suggest not to throw good money after bad.
Yet, I would like to ask for a high risk investor, would this be too risky a move?
Q: Has anything changed at KEYS? The share price has been pretty strong since July. Does their manufacturing occur mostly inside the US. I feel the USD is going higher courtesy of Trumponomics which will make it harder to export US made goods. Any thoughts you have would be appreciated.

Q: Hi 5i,
Now that the cancelled Analyst Day has long past and LSPD share price continues to creep up, has there been any news on your radar that might give a hint or clue as to whats happening with the name?
Vertiv Holding stock dropped yesterday 10%, apparently, after it was reported that an Independent Director, Steven Reinemund sold 100,000 shares on Nov 20 at an average price of $137. But it was also reported that he still holds 268,333 shares.
You also mentioned about a suit filed against the Co, Friday last week, which, in your view is not material.
We sold our holding earlier this year and intend to take advantage of the drop to restart a position at current level ( $132-133), for long term, due to Co's unique place in managing the data centre infrastructure.
Q: Hi team,
What potential , if any do you see in Rblx currently? The shares have been making a slow recovery lately. Wondering if there’s a big future yet for this name, if they have areas to monetize in such as advertising on the platform? Or partnering with someone like meta for a VR metaverse future? Would you rank buy, hold , or sell today ?
Q: I have held this fund for several years and it is now back to its purchase price. Not sure if I should sell or hold on for better times. Any comments above why it isn’t doing better?
Thanks.
Q: How useful is forward P/E as a basis for deciding when to cut back a high flyer. What is it for SHOP compared to AMZN? Can you suggest one or more other (maybe better) metrics? Right now, would you cut back SHOP if it was 10% of a TFSA?
Q: What are your top 3 software companies that would benefit greatly from AI going forward, please pick 3 CAN & 3 US.
Thank-you for your great service as always!!
Q: Trying to understand analyst changes on SHOP. TD lists analyst 3 changes this week. One sell and 2 holds. On the surface, this could be interpreted as almost 3 sells. What indicators or factors might drive some analysts to come to this conclusion when others, including 5i, are much more upbeat, even bullish.
