Q: Hello 5i,

What are your thoughts on the cloud computing sector? After IBM recently bought softlayer - Do you foresee more takeovers in the near future?

As a side note it would be helpful on the website to have a search function that isn't restricted to a stock symbol only.

Q: AXX announced agreement to sell its interest in Open Net. Do you see this as a positive development such that company can start dividend or distribute proceeds to shareholders. Is the stock a buy. Thank-you

Q: Re win
Do you think holders WIN will take a tax loss come Dec. I do not dislike win and would like to be in for next year but I am currently over exposed. Is there any upcoming reasonably predictable buying opportunities such as a late year repurchase.

Q: Good Afternoon Peter and Team,
I have been looking at Calian Technologies (CTY- TSX) for longer term, steady, dividend growth. At present the company appears to be somewhat growth challenged but also appears to be fairly safe and cheap. Quarterly dividends have grown at about 20% per year over the last 10 years (.04 to .28) with a $1.00 special dividend thrown in during 2010. If you were to cover this company then what, back of the napkin, rating would you
assign it ???
Thank you. DL

Q: While *VERY* happy with the performance of my Sylogist (v.syz) holdings, I must say that judging by its web site, it is one of the most non-promotional companies in which I have invested. Not that I am keen on unwarranted hype but sending investors to SEDAR for everything of consequence for instance indicates little desire to attract the attention of investors (but yes it does save on expenses). Perhaps they are saving themselves for the day that they intend to apply for a listing on the TSX. Question: Roughly when do you foresee Sylogist applying to move up to the TSX?
TIA.

Q: Hello Peter and Team,

Quick thoughts on Faro Technologies, FARO, and how they are positioned to take advantage of the supposedly rapid expanding 3D printing world. Also, a quick comment on their financials and value would also be appreciated. And if you are familiar with the 3D printing world, what company would be your best bet in this growing field.

Q: Hi Peter, earlier I asked about Alter Nrg and how their $400 million project in Tees Valley could make a big impact in that it will be the first industrial plant that takes in a 1000 tonnes of garbage and the syngas then is cogenerated to produce electricity for 50,000 homes. Trading volume is going up along with the price. Looks like Air Products will be ordering for a second plant shortly. Would you buy Alter Nrg here?
