Q: I was reading some information about Avigilon (AVO) a few days ago. Apparently, Veritas suggests some issues that could affect AVO are channel stuffing (something to do with collaboration between AVO and its channel intermediaries) and early revenue recognition. Veritas also was concerned about uncommon auditor review practices. As a consequence to its review they are suggesting caution. It seems to me that these are probably consequences of a fast growing company rather than something I should be particularly concerned about; however, the frequency I get burnt by trusting my instincts is too high so wished to get your valued opinion. Thank you

Q: I read this morning that CGI was able to generate 1.1 billion of cash flow, surprising analysts positively. They reduced their debt by 500 million. Earnings per share met expectations. Valuation is at 16.5x trailing earnings. Now that the debt and cash flow concerns are gone, it seems to be the perfect time to buy. What do you think about earnings?

Q: Intel (INTC) has been performing really well recently, and I'm worried it's reached a high and might be worth selling, despite recent good news. It's about 3% of my overall portfolio, which has an already small amount of technology exposure. Specifically, what sort of upside do you think remains with INTC in the next 12 months?

Q: Hi team, would this be a good time to "double up" on OTC Open Text. The stock seems very cheap right now with quarterly numbers soon coming out. I have a full position right now in the stock with a well diversified 20 name portfolio. I'll be adding to the other existing names after in the near future and my risk tolerance is good when being overweight in good quality companies. I did this last year in CSU Constellation and it worked out great.

Q: I have owned Enghouse (ESL) for several months and while it has not shown any price growth I know that you are quite high on the stock. However, you seem to equally like Evertz (ET) for many of the same reasons you like ESL but given that ET pays a healthy dividend , I was wondering if I should switching from ESL to ET.

Looking forward to your insight.

Q: Hello Peter,
Below is an extract from S"E"D"I" showing an officer of Enghouse being short 20,000 shares of the company. He is long 30,000 options but it seems strange that an officer would actually sell his companies shares short. Not a big short position but still strange in my opinion. Any comment on the short position, and any thoughts on the merit of adding to an initial ESL position at this time. The other holdings in this area are AVO and CSU.
Many thanks.

Q: Peter and Team: I understand and agree with your decision to avoid target prices for stocks, but, having said that, I feel quite frustrated that I am unable to assess the risk-reward profile for a stock. I can only look at the chart and try to extrapolate.

Can you give me a sense of the risk-reward profile for two companies: Evertz Technologies (ET) and Sylogist (SYZ). Yahoo Finance shows 5-6 analysts covering Evertz. The low price target is $28 and the high target is $37. The stock is currently trading around $17. Are those realistic targets? Can you help me make sense of those targets (or provide one)? Yahoo shows no analyst coverage for SYZ. Can you give me a sense of its risk-reward, perhaps by comparing the two stocks? Thank you for continued great service.

Q: Two stocks I came across and bought by reading questions and answers on your 5i site were PTS and CHN. I asked 5i about PTS awhile back and your answer was it was a long term play. I should have asked what entry point you would go with because I paid a lot more money than what it is today. CHN is down more than it is up. Waiting for your reply.

Q: "Vecima is a solid small cap tech company at 15 X earnings, with a very solid balance sheet. It looks fine.
Your reply to Dennis (14Jul14) indicates 15 X earnings. I assume this refers to P/E ratio. TMX Money website indicates a P/E of 7.50. Can you clarify if TMX is incorrect. Thanks

Q: Good morning, I would like your opinion on Sphere 3D and EXO U. They often are compared to one another on Bay Street. Sphere has had an unbelievable 12 month return but cynics believe ANY has not much and its a stock promote given management has done this before with BioSign and also promoted Orbite. On the other hand EXO which has had a nice move post announcing their new Board of Advisors and is run by the Montreal Hypertech family which is a very well respected billion $ private company. Please let me know your thoughts on both companies. Thank you

Q: Do you have a view on Redknee Solutions Inc (RKN)? This company has sometimes been compared with Constellation Software (CSU) so I am interested to know if it has the same potential as CSU. Thanks,
