Investment Q&A

Not investment advice or solicitation to buy/sell securities. Do your own due diligence and/or consult an advisor.

Q: My portfolio lacks a serious commitment to technology although it is reasonably well balanced across the remaining sectors emphasizing a conservative income approach. To address the tech sector, I thought I would start easy, as it were, by investing in either ZQQ or XQQ. For an investor in his mid seventies, with a low comfort level in most things tech, that would appear to me to be the way to go. Appreciate your view.
Thank you.

Q: read 2 awesome articles on this website https://thestockboys.com/blog/ about qualcomm and another about Broadcom. made me interested in both at these levels, but only have room in my portfolio for one in that type of space. I know your more Canadian focused, but which one of these 2 would you prefer?

Q: Hi, AMZN and NFLX have always been hard to buy due to expensive valuations. I managed to accumulate AMZN shares, a few months ago when stock dipped due to Mr Trump's rhetoric. NFLX price has dropped after its recent results due to lower subscriber growth and softer guidance. How do you see the thereat of competition from Hulu, Disney and Amazon etc ? Do you think, it's an opportunity to buy/accumulate for a 5 years or longer hold ? Thanks
