Q: Hi, wrt the recent earnings question on DSG, was your answer for Q4 or full year?
(Brian did not ask for which reporting period, so I will. :))
I ask as your answer seemed out of line wrt their 3Q numbers...ie Earnings per share on a diluted basis of $0.10, up 25% from $0.08 in Q3FY18 and compared to $0.11 in Q2FY19 (from their Q3 release).
You indicated EPS=.32 (that's a huge increase from .10!)
Your reply also differed quite a bit from their stated Q4 and full year earnings release of the prior year.
To clarify, can you please give earnings estimates for both Q4 and full year .
Cheers,
Steve

Q: Any major concerns with the lawsuit against MU? I'm not sure how often this occurs with tech companies. Would it change your overall positive view of the stock?
Q: Hi Team,
Could you please tell me the insider ownership % and the current debt/equity for this company?
Thanks

Q: Hi folks at 5i,
My current holdings are as follows in three different accounts, (tsfa, rrsp, lira)
VTI 14.52%
VEU 8.73%,
VCE 5.85%
SHOP 5.54%,
CSU 5.11%
CYBR.B 4.73%,
OTEX 4.50%
XEG 4.47%
SIS 4.03%
SPOT 3.72%
FLT 3.71%
T 3.66%
GUD 3.46%
KXS 3.24%
DOL 2.97%
BCI 2.51%
PHO 1.78%
Fixed Income:
VSB 4.73%
XCB 4.50%
XHY 4.33%
Cash 3.58
1- I am planning on selling FLT (per your recommendation) from a previous question. Which stock would you purchase from the growth portfolio to put the cash right back at work?
2- Thinking of also selling T and adding some to VCE and the rest to buy another name from the growth portfolio. Would you be comfortable with this? Seeing that the bulk of my portfolio are in large blended ETF's. If so, which name would you buy?
3- Debating if I should keep SPOT. Initial bought it for a 5 year hold. What are your thoughts on selling and adding to VTI or maybe buy a low volatility US ETF? Or any other thoughts?
Please deduct as many credits needed. I have plenty to spare :)
Thank you

Q: Any particular reason for the large sell off today, particularly with tech stocks? I thought things were looking fairly good in the morning and with the news with China.
-
Sylogist Ltd. (SYZ $3.80)
-
Descartes Systems Group Inc. (The) (DSG $99.67)
-
Enghouse Systems Limited (ENGH $15.89)
-
Kinaxis Inc. (KXS $136.55)
-
Open Text Corporation (OTEX $31.01)
Q: At the present time I have a full position in Kinaxis, Constellation Software, and Shopify.
All 3 are in a non registered account. CSU and SHOP have done very well but KXS has been falling over the past year and I was wondering about selling it and buying one of the other 4 that I have listed. I am looking only at growth over the next one to two year time period. My risk tolerance is moderate to high. Which one would you suggest and why. Or would you just stay with Kinasix. Please deduct as many credits as you see fit. Thank you, Ian

Q: At the present I have a full position in SHOP and CSU. I would like to add another full position to my technology sector. Which to the above 5 stocks would you suggest for
growth only for a 1 to 2 year holding. My risk tolerance medium high. Could you please rank them from most growth to lowest growth and your reasons. Please deduct as many credits as you see fit.

Q: May I please have your comments on their earnings release? Looks like it’s down after hours based on their forward looking guidance. I bought it today right before close hoping for a pop and am wondering whether to hold as it looks like it will be opening lower.
Q: Hi 5i,
Could you provide a short comparison of these 3 companies, how they overlap and differ?
If one has investments in SHOP and SQ would they "supersede" Lightspeed, or could they compliment? When does Lighspeed start trading?
From my preliminary research Lightspeed appears to be a combination of both SQ and SHOP where they provide POS payment systems with the ability to create a webstore (but seem more focused on brick and mortar vs. Shopify being more online)
Thank you!

Q: I recently sold some Apple shares and want to invest about 10,000.00 in the US market. Stan Wong on BNN was quite high on ARKK. What are your thoughts?
Thanks, Lesley

Q: Hi folks, comments please on Q4 results for Quarterhill. New Ceo seems to be "righting the ship" as good revenue, and although loss, Q1/19 guidance revenue of $33M looks pretty good. Buy/Hold/Sell. Thanks as always, jb
Q: I seem to never take profits in my non-registered account. I currently have an unrealized gain of +69.48% on OTEX. Do you think it's wise to take all or some profits? (I do have losses in 2018.) If I sell OTEX, what is are some good growth stocks with solid financials and good growth prospects. (I happily own CSU in may TFSA.)

Pivot Technology Solutions Inc. (PTG $2.60)

Q: In light of the recent price increase and news, do you think there may still be some growth potential in the company and that dividend is sustainable. If not, what other companies might you recommend in the sector?
Q: "NetCents Technology Announces Launch of Apple and Android Applications which will allow NetCents users to transact with Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ether, and NCCO at any merchant, worldwide, that accepts these coins as payment. The key innovation for NetCents users through these applications is their ability to spend their cryptocurrency, online and off, simply by scanning the QR code with their NetCents app."
I would like your thoughts on this recent announcement and whether its a good time to buy this stock.
Thanks
