Q: I've owned and held CSU since subscribing with you years ago. I've considered buying this equity for my daughter's fund, growth oriented, and with the recent pullback think this may be an appropriate time. Or... are it's 'sister' companies even better considerations? What say you?

Q: If I buy the dip in gib.a, will I get more growth vs buying LMN for a 3-5 year hold? Thank you

Q: My tech component of my portfolio is 43% and want to rebalance my portfolio so tech is about 33%. In tech CSU is 33% NVDA 20% Shop 15% Rest are about 6% to 8%. Is there 1 or 2 I should sell due to overlap? What should I do?
Also is there an argument that shopify fits into the consumer discretionary space?
Also am I missing a tech name?
Thanks take more credits if needed

Q: Hi Team,
What are your thoughts on Fidelity Global Innovators ETF (FNN-T)?
Would you consider it a buy at the moment?
Are there any similar funds in the same category or style that you would recommend instead?
Thanks very much for your insights,
Jacques IDS

Q: Entegris seems to be in an interesting niche in the semi space, providing specialty engineered chemicals and materials required in the manufacturing process.
Stanley Druckenmiller recently initiated a new position.
Revenues have shrunk 2% over the past year. Wouldn't you expect that with the huge cap ex spend going towards AI right now that they'd be growing? Other semis like KLAC, ASML, LRCX have grown revenues ~25% over the same period.
Why hasn't ENTG participated in this?

Q: Would you agree that an investor has to buy things that are speculative in order to find multi baggers early on? People who were early to the AI market likely had several go to zero and don't care if they hit on Nvidia as an example. I'm asking because I know that Google is in the Quantum field but should an investor consider a basket of stocks like IONQ, D-Wave, Quantum Emotion and BTQ knowing that some will be worthless and some may sky rocket? If an investor was willing to effectively gamble on $10,000 would you concentrate your bet or spread it around? Lastly, which are your three best bets among those I listed?
Thanks
Thanks
Q: The first questions on PLTR appear in October 2020. At that time the response in general terms could be characterized as “we like it but it is expensive, there is sole party risk…take a small position”. The latest response is quite similar but of course the company is much more widely held.
Today the stock dropped at opening by 5% on high volume, likely some panic selling. By 2pm the stock is down by 2% so it’s climbing up off it’s lows.
My question: has the risk factor on PLTR increased since Oct 2020?
If I have mis-characterized 5i’s position please do not hesitate to correct me.
I do not own the stock but am mulling it over even though the AI sector seems to be weak.
One follow-up question: If NVDA reports good numbers will it raise all AI stocks?
Thanks,
Jim

Q: Hi there, your updated thoughts on SNAP?
Thanks!
Thanks!
Q: Hi 5I
I own both SMCI and NBIS. I’ve done very well with both, but my question is is about moving some or all funds from SMCI to NBIS for the reason NBIS may be a much better company.
Volatility doesn’t bother me, just looking at potential end results. Thanks very much for putting me on these two names as I’ve very well

Q: In light of PLTR’s decline now can you think of other similar companies from the past that have come back and become market staples now…. Like an apple, Microsoft. Or an industrial or energy stock ? Or is PLTR such an anomaly that a more significant drop might be in the offing?
Q: Do you think safe to buy LMN.V today since it has been dipped more than 10% from the highest price? Do you see any reason been dipped so much?
Q: Sorry, yet again another NBIS & CRWV question.
You say you prefer NBIS over CRWV because of valuation. But I'm also curious if you are a fan of their other non-"Nebius AI" product like Toloka, TripleTen, AvRide.
Seems CRWV is more of a pureplay on what Nebius AI does?

Q: On August 12th you gave $270 as a reasonable entry point for CLS. Now that it is around $250 and appears to be still dropping and potential for volatility in September would you add now or wait until it appears to settle?
Thanks for all your help,
Mike

Thanks

Q: I already have a little of NBIS. I am wondering if I should get into a CRWV position now that the price has dipped.
Otherwise, I would to my small NBIS position (80 shares @ USD 40).
At what price would you start a half position in CRWV? At what price would add to an existing NBIS position.

Q: I would appreciate your comments on the firing of the CEO and the board (finally?) getting involved to hopefully kickstart the company. In these situations it is usually best to hold and see what happens?
Appreciate your insight.

Q: Most of my investing style is focused on Canadian high quality compounders and the US market using ETFs. I have really tried to drill in my head that drawdowns of 20-30% happen quite frequently to quality compounders for no significant reason other than they can randomly occur. I try my best to ignore them and focus on the long term future. My biggest holdings are CSU, TOI, and LMN. Instead of focusing on the current drawdown, where do you see these companies in a 5-10 year time horizon? Will CSU be able to acquire as many companies? Will it compound as quickly as it has before. Do you feel that TOI and LMN will be that faster growers in the future compared to CSU. What is the possibility of future spin outs for CSU? So far the 2 spin outs have worked well and followed CSU’s acquisition and incentive playbook.
