Q: Further to Larry's question on Hack, it appears Pure Funds only has 2 very unique funds at this time (albeit with plans to add more). Should one be wary of investing in a new fund provider, especially one offering a non traditional product line-up. I like the idea of the Hack fund but am somewhat wary of Pure Funds unless they have a proven prior track record in the industry? How much of a concern should this be?

Q: Hi - your analysis of the pending acquisition and financing please. Does this give them some gravitas they have been lacking? the market seems to approve. what does the combined company look like? valuation? thanks
Q: Hi Peter. Any thoughts on the emerging 3D printing market. Cisco and a few others seem to be at the forefront. Would you consider an ETF such as BMO Nasdaq as decent exposure to this. I have considerable cash sitting idle in my RRSP. I have a lot in 3 banks, but they are not doing so great anymore. Any suggestions. Thanks for all your great advice.

Q: Is Open Text worth holding for the next few quarters? I have a 23% loss in a non registered account. I am trying to remember the opportunity cost of holding losers (slow learner) so if you recommend a switch, would you please provide a few names in large companies as opposed to small, higher risk ones? Thank you.
Q: Stock hitting new highs. Have been watching it but have not bought. Too late to initiate a position? What is the insider ownership? Thanks.
Q: I believe we are on the cusp of a technology super cycle - vehicles/homes/workplace. What are some companies poistioned to benefit from this cycle?
Q: Your take on ET's results today especially as to Revenue & Eps vs estimates,& effect on its price. Thanks a lot for your usual great services & views

Q: Re: Brian's question today about NXPI...just got this news (seems good news) about NXP:
-Switzerland's Finanz und Wirtschaft has reported local firm AMS (OTC:AUKUF) has lost deals to supply NFC signal-boosting ICs for future iPhone and Apple Watch models. Going forward, Apple will reportedly rely exclusively on NXP (NXPI +2.2%) to supply NFC parts.
-AMS fell 21.1% in Zurich on the news. NXP is joining tech and chip peers in rallying. Various teardowns have uncovered NXP NFC controllers and AMS signal-boosting chips in the iPhone 6 and Apple Watch. NXP also supplies NFC controllers for Chinese Galaxy S6 models; Samsung NFC controllers have been found in international models.

Q: I know that you dont follow US stocks as diligently as you do Canadian securities. Would you feel comfortable commenting on NXPI? I have held it for some time and have done very well. It has taken quite a hit in the last few weeks. I would appreciate your comments and would you recommend holding it. Thanks
Q: could u please advise me an robotic company(ies) that r worth looking at.
Q: Your latest review re Tucows - Please
Q: Hello, I know you do not follow US stocks that closely but can you tell me what you think of Mentor Graphics corp? Thank you!
Q: WhAt happened to share price today, shall I add more or sell ,,,,thx
Q: In the "Internet of Things" play, which one would you prefer, SW or NXPI.US. Both these stocks are volatile so would you wait for a better entry point (on which ever stock you advise)?
Q: Peter, With all the talk of cyber security, I would like to make an investment in that space. I know of no way to do that on a Canadian market, but maybe you do. Is there an ETF which covers this sector? Between the big players like Fire Eye, Palo Alto, Cisco or others, how would you play it? Or would you avoid this area all together due to valuations?
Q: Hello Peter and the 5I team
I am curious about NXP, is this a good tech company to own at this time? The semiconductor buisness is extremely cyclical. I was wondering where are we in that cycle? What are some of NXP's flag ship products and who are their main competition? Would you add this company to a well diversified portfolio or is there a better company out there to buy? Should a person be concerned with the currency risk?
Thank you
