Q: Regarding the CEO news for Topicus CEO Robin van Poelje disclosing a temporary role as Chairman and CEO at Your.world. you comment to Frank
"It is fairly bizarre but we are sure Mr VP and TOI have some sort of plan thought out. A future acquisition wouldn't surprise us much. But there is really no information other than a brief press release to go on here."
MORE INFO:
- Your.World and your.online are owned by Strikwerda Investments (Netherlands) Robin is married to the owners daughter and worked for Strikwerda who founded and sold TSS (Total Specific Solutions) to Constellation in 2013 (the family agreed to sell TSS so long as they could retain a 33% minority interest and Robin could remain as CEO) and as you know merged into what we know as Topicus in 2021.
Does this change your views?

Q: Hi,
I know these are some of your favorite cyber security stocks. All of them have drifted down recently. Your uncanny call for FTNT's price of 59 has been reached AND breached!
What would be your new entry points fr these? Please feel free to add any other name if you feel it is warranted.

Q: Hi 5i,
I imagine you might get more than a few questions about CTS this week.
I've got quite a bit tied up in it in a TFSA, and keep waiting for my loss to lessen so that I can sell less painfully and move on (as I don't have much faith in the name overall). Today's earnings make me wish I'd already done so.
Please advise what you envision for this name over the next couple of quarters, if you don't mind giving that short term view.
Thanks,
Peter

Q: Hi Peter,
Can you provide your comments regarding the Press Release today on Topicus and the Robin van Poelje (Topicus CEO) disclosing a temporary role as Chairman and CEO at Your.world . Do you think this may end up being an acquisition target for Topicus. Just wondering if there is anything to read into here?

Q: I believe SHOP releases first quarter results this morning. Once the call is over, can you break down the results and provide some guidance as how you feel the stock will perform near term and longer. Would the stock make your list of top 5 growth stocks to own? If not, why not?
Q: Is SHOP a good buy now?
Q: I see the ZM trades at a decent valuation and has a fair bit of cash. P/B, P/S, and P/E are presently much cheaper than the past.
For a value investor, is ZM a decent investment? Morningstar labels is it with a Narrow moat, although it is rated a Hold. How competitive is the industry? With all that cash, could it not add on other areas of growth.
Technically it appears to have good support around $59.
Your thoughts?

Q: The word "Restructuring" always makes me nervous - "Raised guidance" soothes my nerves. What takeaways from this q1 are most important, most revealing of this company going forward ?
- Intel Corporation (INTC)
- Microsoft Corporation (MSFT)
- NVIDIA Corporation (NVDA)
- Advanced Micro Devices Inc. (AMD)
- Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Ltd. (TSM)
Q: I own this stock, have bought it at a low price so I'm still even on it. Don't need the cash but don't want a dog either. Do you think this has long term upside ? Buy, sell or hold ?
Q: Why is Datadog falling over the last couple of days? What's the longer term outlook for the company and the industry it serves? Is it a buy sell or hold? Thank you.
- INVESCO QQQ Trust (QQQ)
- Technology Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLK)
- Vanguard Information Technology ETF (VGT)
- iShares U.S. Technology ETF (IYW)
Q: QQQ is not a tech-ETF, yet is made up of mainly tech. Do you think QQQ is a better long-term investment than pure tech ETFs? Explain your reasoning.
Q: UBER Can I have your analysis on the report. Buying opportunity or hold ?
Q: Further to my question on the ability of Shopify to regain its lost glory and confidence among investors, there is another thing that intrigues me . i.e. in your balnced portfolio, among all stocks, Shopify has the lowest return since inception of 2013 ( -20% as of April24). There must be some strong reason for its continued (despite good top and bottom lines! )poor show which we common investors fail to gauge. But it seems to have escaped your eagle eyes too. So the question is whether its portfolio rating of A- is a much inflated one and needs to be revisited.
Q: Gentlemen; Thoughts on the quarter for SHOP?
Something disappointed given pre market activity;

Q: For growth which one would you pick?
Q: My question has two aspects. One genral and another one specific
First. numerous analysts and professional investors (and not necessary professional short term traders) use to claim a golden rule saying if a company following poor results in the earnings season, slides 10% or about, you sell immediately and the sooner the better. What is your position on this issue?
Second. What kind of application could be envisaged in the specific case of a stock like Cloudflare with a recent splash of more than 17%?
Thank you very much in advance
