Q: What are your thoughts on Tucows? I listened to the conference call and the CEO mentioned this year as being a transition year to 2019. Is the volatility in the name an opportunity for long term holders? Is the business stable enough to hold and "do nothing" being a short attack or earnings report? If this was in the growth portfolio what weighting would you perhaps give it?
Thanks!

Q: There seems to be a pattern of TC failing to meet earnings estimate (or at least I assume that this is what is causing the drop today). I have nice gains on it to date, but wondering whether or not it is worth continuing to hold. Would appreciate your thoughts
Thanks

Q: Hi,
I am thinking that the recent drop may present an opportunity to enter into the US Aerospace & Defense sector at a bit of a discount. Is it better to use ETFs, or choose one or two top rated stocks? I don't know how you compare the costs of ETFs and could use a primer on what to look for / what to avoid when considering them, as I mostly use stocks or debentures.
As always, we appreciate you're thoughts and insight.

Q: Hi,

I've been watching this stock for quite some time and recent earnings seem to be well received, with other followers seeing significant upside. I know it's a US company, but your quick opinion (management performance, upside potential and timeframe) would be appreciated along with why their product seems so good?

Q: Is Broadcom still a Singaporean company today? There has been reports in the news media around November 2017 that Trump announced "he" is moving it back to the USA. I hold a significant position in my RRIF. If it is a USA company today, I will have to pay U.S. estate taxes if I die. I will need to sell my position before that happens. Can you look into it's current home country? Is there a reliable website I can go and check the home country of Broadcom from time to time? Thanks.

Q: In your response to a previous question, I looked at ANET and am certainly impressed with it...I have a scoring process I use to assess stocks and it scored in the top three along with Kinaxis and Facebook.

However, it also has a short life as a public stock and has not been through a downturn. I'm less concerned about what the stock price would do through a serious downturn and more interested in management's ability to manage through it and for their product to remain in demand.

What are your thoughts on management and product "stickiness"/uniqueness? Who, on their board has lots of experience and respect?

Thx,

Cam

Q: I own both of the above and am still above water, but they are not holding up well in this current environment, so should I hold or move out.. If so do you think intc is worth pursuing or some other stock perhaps would be better going forward.
Another question HD is another stock similar position, what do you think buy, sell or hold. If buy what would you replace it with. Thanks.

Q: hey Peter & Team,

From what I can see results on the recent report were mixed but overall the year wasn't horrible. Yet, the stock is down over 50% since June, 2017 including the big hit today.

Would you mind commenting on the recent report and letting me know what am I missing here?

Thanks for all you do

Gord

Q: Hi 5i
Not so much a question as a request for reassurance about the volatility of the previous week. I've been picking up additional shares of cgnx (and others across both US / Canada ) and could do with hearing that I haven't missed obvious signs that the world is ending !

I've taken for granted the volatility-free markets we've had for some time but remember past panics where I watched without participating in, with hindsight, so called bargains.

Thanks
Mike
