Q: Hello. I'm currently sitting on a loss with ILMN and you've mentioned a few times in recent months that it will likely take some time to recover. I'm wondering if it might be a good idea to move the money into some other businesses that are likely to grow faster than the rate at which ILMN recovers.
Sector differences aside, would you recommend any of the following as good candidates for this?
AMZN
FB
PYPL
None of the above (i.e. You expect ILMN to recover faster than the growth in any of the above.)
Q: I've been active in DIY investing for 7 years. Have chosen only CDN listed stocks and, with 5i's help, have been reasonably satisfied with returns over that period. However, despite my stubborn resistance to the US, I cannot continue to ignore that market. So I have 5 forced-choice questions for you. I will invest in 5 of the 11 listed. I'd like your opinion about which one in each group to invest. These are LT holds (5+ years). I'm not expecting a detailed rationale, but would appreciate knowing if your preferences are strong. Or not. Thanks!
GOOG vs. AMZN

AYX vs. TTD vs. TEAM
Q: Over the past 2 months or so SHOP, TTD and MDB are down substantially. All have had earnings events and that did not have a positive impact on share price
I know at this point the horses have left the barn, but as portfolio managers what do you recommend we do with these lagging names and why?
Q: Hello 5i team,
I am curious about the market reaction to Quarterhill's earning results. They did not hit it out of the park but was a decent earnings either way minus the decrease in recurring revenue. Is the price decrease simply market mechanics or is it the reaction to the decline in recurring revenue?
Q: I would appreciate your comments on CGI's recently announced earnings. I have held this stock for a long time and am very happy with it's long term results. Recently Gordon Pape expressed caution with the stock going forward. He seemed to be concerned with a shrinking backlog. Your thoughts and comments would be appreciated. Thank You.
Q: What are your thoughts on Avalara? Is this a 5+ year hold? My investment thesis is over the long term online cross border shopping and digital currencies will require sophisticated taxation software. Governments will eventually require sale tax filings at point of sale which this software can accommodate. Thanks!
Is Roku still a long-term hold based on potential for advertising revenue, or do the recent quarterly results and share sell-off change your opinion of this company?
Q: Hello,
Could you please comment on SQ earning results and outlook. The guidance seems a little low? Also is the valuation high compared to its past/peers?
Thanks

Q: Hello Team,
I am overweight in technology growth names and have been caught in this “sector rotation” from growth to value. My question is do I now hold steady and ride out the storm, or trim back my growth holdings and switch to value? I am a buy and hold investor typically and believe the names I am invested in are best in class in what they do, and believe the way the world is going that technology will continue to advance and should be where the biggest growth is now and into the foreseeable future. So, with the names listed do I buy more , hold, or sell? Thanks for your input on the matter.
Q: Hello 5i is there any reason why the above 5G stocks are acting so poorly, good earnings amazing potential in so far that the 5G roll out is concerned and yet.. what I'm missing.. Thanks
Q: If one were interested in investing in Artificial Intelligence what might you recommend for Canada, US or abroad. More so interested "safer" stocks, as opposed to trying to hit a home run.
Thanks, Lee
