Q: Hi there,
I have been enjoying the run up in TOI and have been thinking of adding to my quarter position. I have been adding along the way and have a dollar cost average of about 93 bucks a share. I am debating whether I should add here, raising the per share cost - but it seems like a parabolic jump in price. Alternatively, I wonder whether I should wait for a dip. And if I do so, what is a fair value to buy at? It seems like TOI may go the way of CSU or SHOP longer term and I do have a window of about 5-10 years. For what it is worth, I still regret not buying shop at about two hundred dollars because I thought it was overvalued.
Thanks in advance for your thoughts on this.

Q: Retired I am a growth inclined investor. I have AAPL and PYPL in my taxable account for over a year and have bought and sold AAPL twice in the past 5 years. AAPL has been very good to me. The current evaluation I find is expensive. There would be a tax impact but I have no other choice but to sell either PYPL or AAPL to make room for APPS. Would you make the switch or not and if so, which security would you sell?

Thank you for your very helpful service.

Q: I currently have a 25% Tech allocation with the following stocks : OTEX, KXS, CSU, LSPD, REAL, TOI and MAGT. I am confortable with a little overweight in Tech since lots of growing quality companies are in the sector.
Reading your answer I understand you also have other favorites within the sector : SHOP, NVEI, DSG, etc..

I feel my list of canadian Tech companies (I don't bother buying US stocks, I just buy VUN...) is well balanced but I'd like to know if you would make any change, addition, substraction? Are SHOP and/or NVEI exceptional enough to consider increasing my overweight in Tech?

Thank you

Q: Hello 5i,
I'm looking to add a couple of these stocks to my growth portfolio. I realize some are very new and comparisons maybe difficult but I'd like your opinion on which would have the best growth over the next 3-5 years. Also which would you prefer?
Thank you so much!
Dave

Q: I really like their renewable, clean natural gas technology and I’m wondering if they are worth a 5 year investment?

Reading your past comments it looks like strong insider support but there remains a lot of risk.

I am okay with educated risk. Would you be an investor today or could you recommend a better option ?

Thanks for the great site

Q: Hello

which one of these companies is better from a growth perspective.

Also, with ransomware and corporate hacking being the new frontier for all CIO's and IT Managers, which 2 companies, in your opinion, have the edge with their technology and I can add these to my portfolio.

Thank you,

Rajesh

Q: Greetings 5i,

Futu holdings - FUTU:NASDAQ (currently no ticker with 5i) , some say China's Robin Hood, reports next tuesday Aug 31.

Ive been interested in the growth story and the share price has pulled back considerably. Recently it seems the sector is bouncing off lows and perhaps with hopes the Tech Inquisition will end soon.

What are Your current thoughts here on the company, earnings expectations, and current environment?

Cheers!

Q: In my growth portfolio I have a full position in NVEI and a half position in TOI. When I really like a company’s prospects, along with 5i’s positive sentiment, I am comfortable going overweight. Both of these companies are on my radar for an overweight position. I’m wondering in which order you’d add and would you add today. Please provide a brief explanation.

Q: Hello team,

In your last response about Thinkific you mentioned that $14 would be a great entry point. Has your opinion Changed.give the soft guidance and slight miss last quarter? Or do you see lots of future growth ahead. Increasing ARPU and higher AAR. The BMO analysts initiated coverage stating this was the “Shopify” for content creators.

If you had limited funds how would you rank new dollars comparing converge and sangoma in the mix. In fact, I’m interested in why you haven’t taken more of an interest in converge given your interest in CSU, TOI, WELL, OTEX, etc.

Their acquisition play book has been incredibly effective, simple and repeatable. Their mandate around management stock purchase and decentralized structure is setup very similar to CSU.

Sorry for the long winded question(s)!
