Not investment advice or solicitation to buy/sell securities. Do your own due diligence and/or consult an advisor.

Q: Intc has been doing very badly of late, with Apple and Microsoft designing their own chip. I am thinking of selling Intc and replacing it with 2 or 3 technology companies, not necessarily in the chip sector. Intc is 2% of my portfolio. What would be your picks. Thanks

Q: I was fortunate to acquire DND at issue and have a nice profit. In reply to the recent questions about DND - specifically about 3-5 year hold for capital gains - you ranked it behind KXS, NVEI, XBC, although noting it is the largest/ safest among NVEI and XBC. My question is whether you would advise to sell all or part DND and reinvest in NVEI or XBC, which I do not presently own to maximize gains over 3-5 year time frame.

Q: This past week has a lot of concern raised over widespread security issues, not just in the US. Stocks in the sector all responded with huge upside. My question is really about FEYE and TENB which are much smaller than CRWD. Those 2 stocks traded at much higher volumes on Friday. Do they have some particular answer to this latest security breach that the larger companies may not have? Let me take this opportunity to wish everyone at 5i a merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Q: Good morning, ENGH announced a special dividend of $1.50. I believe this amounts to ~ $83 million, representing ~ 34% of their Oct/20 year-end cash balance. One might have hoped the ENGH Board foresaw 'better' ways to use this cash to advance the firm's market position. 5i has been positive on ENGH for some time. Does this large dividend change 5i's views on ENGH in any meaningful way as a solid investment going forward? Thank you. Edward

Q: Hello. I'm preparing to buy a couple of tech stocks. Unity Software (U) is one; which is a go. Also, 5i seems to like it. But my Q is about Elastic N.V. (ESTC). One Q&A in 2020 with only a few others dating from 2019 in 5i's Q&A section. It looks interesting to me, but I'm not sure. I'd appreciate your updated look at the stock and your opinion about adding it (currently trading at all-time high -- but cash flow is still negative). Thanks!

Q: I am trying to decide which one of these cybersecurity companies to buy if I have to choose one. Alternatively, is there an ETF focusing on this narrow segment of the market you would recommend?
Your insight is much appreciated, Peter

Q: Please comment on that news:
Synopsys Unveils $250 Million Accelerated Stock Buyback Deal
09:34 AM EST, 12/16/2020 (MT Newswires) -- Synopsys (SNPS) said pre-market Wednesday that it has signed an accelerated share repurchase agreement with Mizuho Markets Americas to buy back $250 million of its shares.

Under the agreement, the software maker said it will get an initial share delivery of 824,000 shares, with the remainder, if any, to be settled by April 9.

How does that compare to other buy back program and how does it places this company among others in the same sector.

Thanks and good Holiday to all.

Stay safe
