Q: I have seen some people recommanding AMD over the last week. With ATH at 227 and now 127, its a big correction and probably some tax loss harvesting. Can you explain the drop in share price?

Stock looks cheaper than Nvidia, but its not really cheaper either at 38x eps and still trading higher than its 10 years average.

Would you consider to start a long term position at this level?

What would be an attrative price?

Q: I see a few people asking about when to buy CSU. As you said, historically speaking, there has never really been a bad time to buy this stock.

Each year, I max out my TFSA contribution in January and I buy as much CSU stock as I can (started buying at $600/share). I started doing that years ago based on your recommendation and it's one of my biggest gains. I'm up massively and I never think once about what the price is when I submit my buy order.

There aren't many stocks like that in my portfolio but I stand by CSU.

Q: Hi Peter,

Can you please give your initial take the impact of Willow developed by Alphabet on the stock price of NVDA.
The stock price takes into account the future growth of the company, its market share in the growing AI and Quantum computing marketplace with the expectation the earnings will grow significantly to bring down the P/E ratio.
With Willow coming into the market a few years from now, what is the impact on NVDA's dollar price today; in your view?

Rajiv

Q: Hi Guys

Thanks for all the amazing work you do to support us investors. Putting new money to work and looking out on at least a 3 year (tend to be a buy and hold investor) which of the four stocks would you buy today looking at total return? If you could rank them from your most strongest being 1st that would be great.

Thanks

Stuart

Q: Hi 5i Team - A guest on Market Call today stated that Shopify is trading at 100 times next year's earnings with anticipated revenue growth of 22%, Could you comment on the accuracy of these figures and your view on whether its shares may be over-valued at this time. Any other comments on its stock price and fundamentals would be appreciated. Thanks.

Q: Would you be comfortable holding Applovin for a 3+ year hold? I managed to buy it near the high but I was planning on holding it. I suppose ups and downs go with a high octane stock like this one.

I also wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and holiday season. Thank you for all your help this past year!

Q: Could you please provide your current thoughts on taking a position in this company. Technically, it seems to have bottomed after a long steady decline. The recent CPKC announcement is encouraging. How is their balance sheet.
Thinking about a TFSA investment. Your thoughts are greatly appreciated!
Thanks for all the help you provide to the retail investor!!

Q: The total portfolio holds both AVGO (2.88% of total portfolio) and NVDA (3.20%) and both are in the sub-industry of "semiconductors". AVGO is considered to be analog semiconductor devices and MVDA is considered to be marketing graphic mobile processes. My question is are these two stocks substantially different that both should be held or not? Also what is the maximum weight to be held for AVGO?
.....Many thanks for your insights.....Tom

Q: Given all the negative news and the recent "retirement" of the CEO, what are your thoughts now on INTC? Has the last shoe finally dropped or can it get worse? Hard to believe the US gov would let the company dissolve given its desire to maintain leadership in chip design and production (although INTC has not been a leader in either for some time). Is this stock worth buying as a (gradual) recovery play or as a takeover target? Thanks.

Q: Hi 5i,

Currently hold shares of INTC at a loss and have held the stock for a few years.

Purchased the stock on the thesis that Pat Gelsinger would potentially execute his his plan to build additional foundry's in North America as an alternate to TSMC. Tailwinds of "on shoring" government incentives and the growing "AI boom" market lead me to believe that this was feasible.

Given Pat Gelsinger is now retiring and INTC execution issues I no longer believe that will be the case. I have held on to the stock for now due to the low valuation and the potential that it would be broken up and sold off.

Would appreciate you thoughts on whether or not it makes sense to hold onto.

Would also appreciate your thoughts on potentially switching from INTC to ASML.

Thank you,

Greg C.
