Q: It seems like everyone is dumping technology and piling into energy. When energy was dirt cheap hardly anyone was recommending and that was the time to buy rather than high flying growth stocks or highly priced renewables. Is the same thing happening here where clearly technology is not in favour and everyone is selling to buy energy as that is the only thing working. Isn't this the wrong way to look at things as you are selling technology low and buying energy high. Your thoughts appreciated!
Q: Dear 5i,
Could you please provide your thoughts on ADI vs TXN?
Do you like these?
If so, which one do you like better and why?
Do you think there is a better choice in the sector and why?
What do you think would be a good entry price?
thanks

Q: Hello 5i!
At this point in the cycle can you please rate the following as buy, sell or hold. I know you sometimes say in a different kind of market high growth can do well. Can you please comment on whether one should decrease technology holdings in general or just wait for tech to shine again one day. Thank you!

Q: Hi 5i Team - Could you provide an update on Unity Software including its cash on hand and debt as well as other fundamentals, insider ownership and trading, ability to weather a recession, and prospects for growth. Thanks.
Q: ,After the 2 divestments in a few weeks DOC have recouped 9M$. Were those divisions cash flow positive? Will this new intake of cash help them navigate through this bad period and until the stock moves up before they have to issue stock. What would be their cash burn rate after the sale of these 2 divisions? I assume those were net positives for the company.
DEEEEEP under water, I don't expect to ever get back in the money unless I keep the stock several years if they make it there. In a registered account there is no point for tax selling. Bad investment, bad timing. Do you have an answer that can make me smile again? LOL LOL
Thank you
Yves

Q: What are your thoughts on the divestment of pharmacies to Neighbourly? Do you see reasonable upside in the company with this injection of cash?
Q: Can you please comment on two items for Converge: the level of share dilution over the past couple of years, and the percentage of goodwill on the balance sheet. Are either of these concerning? Need to be watched? What about the likely future trajectory for these factors? I am considering taking a position here but these things have be reconsidering. Thanks.
Q: In an answer, you said a good entry price for META is between here and all the way down to its IPO price of $40. That would be another long way to fall. Sounds like it is very cheap and getting cheaper every day. What is your definition of a value trap and is META now a prime example?
Thanks.
Thanks.
Q: Hello 5i
I have been wondering whether Meta is a good choice given it’s recent fall. So, i was interested in your response to a question this morning. You seemed positively disposed towards the stock. Shortly after that i read a small piece by Cathy Wood’s Arkk, which is usually seen as willing to take risks. Someone said that she makes all or nothing bets. I was surprised to see that they see Meta as doing just that. I will post a short excerp. And would be very interested to know what you think of it:
In our view, if augmented and virtual reality (AR and VR) were to become the next mobile and at-home computing platforms, the return on investment could dwarf the $10-15 billion per year that Meta currently is spending to secure leadership in the space. That said, if AR and VR do not scale to the mass-market, Meta's current pace of investing could be a colossal mistake.

Q: I would like to capture the tax loss for AMD and buy it back after 30 days. Would NVDA be a good proxy as I wait out the 30 days?
Q: With all the megacap tech names earnings being released, and seeing the pullbacks and future estimate adjustments etc. If you had to chose one of the above to invest in, which would it be and why? Thx
Q: Could you please give me opinion on SPOT.
Would you buy it at this level in the low 80's for 1 - 2 years time horizon?

Q: Since we are entering what will probably be a very active end-of- year tax loss selling season , wondering if you will be providing a Report on potential candidates as you have in previous years ?
More specifically , I am interested in one such candidate - CPLF - which is off about 80 % from its high with sell-off accelerating over the past week chopping off about a quarter of its value on much heavier than normal volume.
Would you consider this company as one worth taking a chance on ?
Or better candidates in the context of many such huge sell-offs this year ?
Thank-you.

Q: What’s the great entry price for Meta? Thanks
Q: Hello Peter & Ryan,
I picked this up on the IPO, one of the few that really did poorly. is there a business case to keep this, or best to let it go?
Thank you as always...
