Investment Q&A

Not investment advice or solicitation to buy/sell securities. Do your own due diligence and/or consult an advisor.

Q: Swiss Water announce their Q results a few days ago and the stock has responded nicely and volume has picked up. Although you lost confidence in the company awhile ago, I did not heed your advice. I kept my holdings as I was always intrigued by their decaffination process and thought it would eventually resonante with the growing health concious consumer and hoped that the long awaited 2nd line would materially increase growth. Can you please
1) analyze their most recent Q
2) comment on their future prospects, expected growth estimates and if they are a buy sell or hold.
3) what is a fair price for the stock
I wanted to keep the stock long enough to see if the second line (which took way too loing in my opinion) refueled their growth and market interest. I need an objective 3rd party to tell me if my faith has been misplaced or soon to be rewarded.

Love your service and balanced advice

Many Thanks
Scott

Q: Received a Class Action Notice from XBC..CA regarding a proposed class action settlement, which reads in part:
"SUMMARY OF THE SETTLEMENT:
On October 19, 2023, the Superior Court of Québec (“Court”) approved the settlement of this class action.
Under the Settlement, CAD $5,000,000 (the “Settlement Amount”) has been paid in full and final settlement of all claims against the Defendants, including Class Counsel’s fees, applicable taxes and expenses, and interest, in exchange for a full release and settlement of the class action."
Number of shares purchased was 800 @$10. Would you know the approximate number of shares that were outstanding at the time (Nov 10 2019 to Mar 24 2021) and In your experience, is it worth it to submit a claim?
Many thanks.

Q: I am looking for a good dividend payer in a non-registered account. The industry does not really matter but a stable dividend and preferably a growing dividend would be important for the next 3 years.

Would Cascades be a good bet? If it is, what would be a reasonable entry point for price?

Thank you.
