Q: What do you think of the strategy of moving some of the money from my small caps that have done well over the last 1-2yrs and gradually parking the money in this ETF? Is the dividend safe and what are the downside risks?
I am wondering what your opinion on Iona Energy is since the last time I asked a question on this company. The management has changed and they have since signed a deal with CNRL for the Orlando field. This will be brought on in late 2016. Their current producing asset Huntington is planned to be re-started in early Dec after a 6 week shutdown due to gas pipeline maintenance (BP CATS pipeline). They currently are trading at less than $50M market cap which is less than 1 times cash flow. The new management has bought in at $0.40 a share and the current price is at $0.14. There is discussion that they can get a $500M RBL at a low rate if they buy another producing asset. They would be able to get rid of the $300M bond with that and it would be at a lower rate. Their are a lot of potential catalysts in the pipeline so is this a buy in your opinion?
Thanks in advance
P.S. Would IAE be a better NS oil investment over Iona?
Q: Could I have your thoughts on Tribute Pharmaceuticals and do you know anything about their management team and how much stock do they own. Thank you
Q: Could you please provide your opinion on MCW? I realize it's fairly speculative (market cap about $50M), but they seem to be close to offering a clean tech solution for the oil sands. Do you see them as a good investment?
Q: Hi 5i, my question is regarding TSL . can you give me your opinion regarding
their last quarterly release earlier this month.they seem to be getting their "act "together. do you like what you are seeing ? what about overall share ownership by management , is it adequate ? It appears more insider buying occurred yesterday. would you agree this sector is gaining momentum ? thanx norm
Q: I see CHW dropped another 4.5% today to a 52-week low. Is there any apparent reason for this decline? Is there an imminent risk that it will not be able to maintain its 6.5% dividend?
Q: Hi - your comments on the acquisition in Korea today. It looks like an accretive buy, and could provide some nice synergies. thoughts on the issuance of more shares to help finance?
Q: Hello Peter, Ryan, and Team,
Fam Reit is undergoing a transformation under new managers. It is to become solely an office reit(suburban focus).Fam is to acquire a seven building package from Slate with a 91% occupancy. With these major changes, it will not be the REIT I purchased. With many uncertainties, could I have your assessment of whether it is a hold or sell at this time?
What do you think of Cynapsus Therapeutics whose research on a new drug delivery system for Parkinson desease is partially funded by the Michael J. Fox Foundation.
Q: I would appreciate your thoughts on DBO (buy, sell, hold) The technology is great, market is growing and they just turned the corner on net income. The stock is going nowhere, it's like watching paint dry !!!!! down +50% from IPO
Q: I just re-read Ryan's excellent article highlighting stocks flying under the radar.
I believe that SYZ was one of Peter's picks 2-3 years ago for one of the many stock picking contests he has won. SYZ has gone from under $3 to $12 - and still has zero analyst coverage. I would think that kind of performance puts it into a very special category. Is the lack of coverage incompetence on the part of the analysts and their managers who run the funds, or is there something intrinsic about SYZ that keeps them away?
Thanks to you I am a well rewarded owner of SYZ, but still find the lack of coverage intriguing; but would expect this to change with even more of a share price increase in the future and am looking to add to it.
