Q: ROG-V
Hi Peter and team.
Long time subscriber, first time asking a question.
First, let me thank you for a great service. I am no longer a rudderless ship.
Last week on BNN both Bret Cook and Bill Harris (for whom I have a lot of time) recommended Roxgold. My question to you has three parts.
a) Do you know management and if so would you comment on them?
b) The financials: Are likely to have to do a financing?
c) Could you comment on the political risk of Burkina Fasco.
Thanks again for a great service.
Gord
Q: Hi Peter and Team, regarding Connacher, CLL, any further thoughts or updates on this one would be appreciated? Can you please tell me when they report next?
Thanks!
Q: My specific question is on CXR: Concordia Health. It is down 16% over last 5 days and I can find no reason for it. I have searched my best sources--CNW, the TSX site, Google Finance and Globe and Mail and cannot find anything---is there a problem?
My general question is on length of time or % down something goes before I take action if I can find no reason for the change in valuation. I have at times used 10% as I thought that should elminate most market action. Is there a number you would recommend?
Bryon in Elmira
Q: I have been holding FDR-V (Flinders)for some time now and this morning it is up considerably. Any idea what is causing the spike in volume and value? Thanks
Q: What is your opinion on the Knight Therapeutics (GUD) financing at $3.50? The market seemed to act favourably today as it reached $4.50. Mr Goodman retains a significant ownership but do you see this stock trending lower when the financing closes on March 19th and these new shares can be sold for a quick profit?
Q: Good Morning Peter and Team,
I have been taking a look at Macro Enterprises (MCR- TSXV). Upon reading the most recent Ink Insider report I noticed that one of the two founders (Mark Dodge) has recently been selling down his stake in the company. However the other founder (Frank Miles) still owns about 30% of the outstanding shares. Being a value oriented investor (However I am slowly coming around to your philosophy) I believe that MCR looks cheap with compelling long term prospects to boot. The recent insider selling may explain some of the recent weakness in the share price. What is your opinion of this company ??? Thank you for your help. DL
Q: I would like your opinion on Synodon SYD.X. With all the activity in pipeline installations and environment regulations, they seem to have the technology and proprietary advantage to allow them rapid growth.
Q: I've done a little screening for good dividend stocks that aren't in the mainstream media. One of these is Mind CTI (NASDAQ: MNDO).
My research has shown me that it has about half it's market cap in cash. The dividend is high, and in most years, it can cover it through all of it's net income. In the most recent year, it's only able to cover half of it, yet they still paid out 24 cent versus their 12 cents in profits.
My question is: what do you think of this company and is the dividend policy sustainable in your view?
Q: Hi- any comments on the latest financing by ROG? does this reduce the risk ,would you still call it a highly speculative company
How would you rank it versus others in the sector?
Q: Hi Peter,
I read a comment recently from another member in the Q&A section in regards to companies that specialize in fracking sand for the energy sector. I have searched through many questions and can't seem to find the question and your response where you mentioned a few names that specialize in providing this service. Can you please name a few companies that provide fracking sand to the industry? Or perhaps another member can recall when this question was asked and answered? I'm sure it was recently over the last week or two. Thank-you.
