Q: Hi, just curious if you've heard anything about or follow Patent Properties (PPRO); Jay Walker the Priceline founder is behind the company and it seems he has his eyes focused on creating a patent licencing system to launch in the second half of 2014. The company is also earning revenues off of their existing patents (from licencing, settlements, and litigation). I understand this isn't a forum for US listed companies but any input would be appreciated. Thanks,

Q: Seems like a good time to be looking for up and comers having made good money from some of your picks this past year (AVO, BAD, CSU, ESL, MCR to name a few... Thank-you for those!), so I will ask thoughts on another VERY speculative stock - PHO (Photon Control). Again, looking for anything you can provide, especially inside ownership info if available. - Cheers.

Q: Peter and Team I have been following Flyght. FLY.v
since August and did not purchase due to concerns mentioned on the blog. Given the recent news on orders from the Chinese and other airlines can you pass along your thoughts, has your opinion changed ? Thank you

FLYHT Aerospace Solutions Ltd. ("FLYHT") (TSX VENTURE:FLY) are pleased to announce that we have agreed to provide through Datang Mobile Aviation division, the AFIRS(TM) 228 real-time data communications and SATCOM solution complete with FLYHTStream. The system for Satcom voice and all other data services has been successfully installed on the ARJ21 and used during icing tests for the final validation of the Type Certificate for this aircraft. The ARJ21 has been under development by COMAC and certification testing by AVIC for several years and to date, has orders 415 units from Chinese airlines, customers in Pakistan and various African countries. The first customer deliveries of the aircraft are expected in late 2014.

Mr Dong, General Manager of Datang Aviation stated that, "We are very pleased to be part of the role out of this major milestone in Chinese aviation history and our work with FLYHT has been very easy to come to a mutually beneficial solution for COMAC."

The AFIRS System will be standard fit on the production aircraft and will be used for performance measurement, warranty data monitoring as well as communication with the operations groups in the airline and air traffic control as allowed by regulation. It is anticipated that all customers will activate the data services on the aircraft to take advantage of the cost savings offered by the AFIRS UpTime solution set.

Mr. Wu of AVIC stated that, "The performance of the AFIRS unit during our trials was superb and we are excited to be providing this state of the art capability to our customers as part of our standard delivery. We are also pleased that the AFIRS unit will provide an approved solution to the Satcom mandate in China."

Bill Tempany, President and CEO of FLYHT stated: "This is a major milestone for our company. We told our investors that we were working to sign new commercial OEM's to our technology and this is a little ahead of schedule, which is unusual in our industry. We are very proud to be a part of the exciting future that COMAC and AVIC have embarked upon with this inaugural commercial aircraft launch."

We currently have an order for 4 units for final test and first delivery aircraft and the value of that order including 5 years services for these units is $560,000. When all 415 units have been delivered, the total value over the next 5 years for this agreement including services will be in excess of $40,000,000 USD. Those values will be achieved if all installation occur on time and the customer uses the services anticipated.

Q: Pardon me! The symbol was CHW - Chesswood Group -not CHN.
Thank you.I own shares in CHW. So far, it's been a pleasant ride. My concern, of course, is both their relative small size as well as the inherent risks that must be accepted when almost all their individual entities operate in a very leveraged & high risk market. As a retired US Attorney, I am familiar with legal & case funding as well as Plaintiff financial support. These areas along with their start-up financing loan business is my primary concern. Would much appreciate your opinion.

Q: Good Morning,
I am wondering if you could comment on LSI's Q1 #'s? While they seem not as strong as I would have liked to see, I am thinking this might be an opportunity to add - as I see their growth rate accelerating throughout each quarter this FY.
Am I missing anything more dire? Their US platform looks to be very compelling at this point - already at 25% of the top line and longer an earnings drain. Thanks for any comments you can provide.

Q: WAN. Hi, I have a small position in WAN and wanted your take on their news of Nov. 28: they indicated that an agreement was in place for a large chunk of shares to change hands. Was this related to the stock price increase on Friday (+14%)? If so, why? Thanks!

Q: Hi Peter and Crew,

I love your service and it has been very good to me. I try to restrict myself to a question every few weeks (or less), as I wish you to not be not overwhelmed at your end.

It is getting close to the end of the year and I am beginning to research my TSFA purchases for 2014.

I have structured my TSFA around selections from your reports and model portfolio. I love the moderate dividend/increasing dividend theme. My goal is to have all of my holdings in DRIP programs (through my TD Waterhouse account.)

The issue is finding equities that produce enough of a dividend to purchase at least a share with each dividend cycle. Many of the equities are in the +$10 range, and I don't have enough of that equity for the dividend to be sufficient. The only possible exception is SYZ-T (Sylogist) at $7.22 per share.

Are you aware and would you recommend any other sub-$10 equities at this time that would be appropriate for a TSFA ?

Thanks again for the great service !
