Q: I know 5i often recommends IWO for US small cap exposure, but what are your thoughts on IJH (Ishares S&P Midcap 400)? This etf caught my attention just before putting in an IWO buy order. By comparison over 1, 3, 5, & 10 year periods this midcap ETF has consistently outperformed, has higher volume, a higher dividend, and appears less volatile. Am I missing something, or could it possibly be a better option than combining 2 small & large cap ETFs for US exposure. Thx again as always.
Q: I am looking to make an investment in a uranium company. Cameco appears to be the obvious choice. Other than Cameco, are there any junior companies that you think might be worth a look.
Thanks as always,
Q: Grande West Transportation is down about 10 per cent today. I can't find any news on it. Have you any idea why? Can you tell me the short position for this. Thanks
Q: Hello 51 team,
Please remind me of your rationale for particularly holding SYZ in the balanced portfolio; the allocation in the tech sector being at 18.5%
Thanks,

Q: Reko generated 19MM in cash in the most recent fiscal year ending July'16.
They just delivered another profitable quarter along with their FIRST ever dividend of 20 cents as a special dividend. With a hard book value of 6.61 and working capital of 3.15 per share and virtually debt free how would you assess the investment potential of the company?
Q: I did not sell it when you advised. Now I am down 80 percent on it. It is in my registered account, so no tax advantage. Do you think it is worth holding if I can, for 5 years? Or should I just run with what I have left. Do you think will this be profitable or will get bought by someone in future(3 years)? Will they need to borrow money next year to survive?
Q: When I read thru the most recent MD&A, it screams to me that a turnaround is progressing very effectively. The new management had a massive mess to clean up. The sale of unleased single family properties to and post 09/30/16 as well as the resolution of all the municipal code violations/massive reduction in associated fines, gradual collection of former CEO funds owing with interest, paydown of expensive SSN and so on all seem very positive. I know this isn't something you endorse due to size and period of consistency, but do you agree with what I am reading that this ship is at least ostensibly turning around in a big way? Current management and board does have a solid track record with Firm Capital (FC) and significant insider ownership here, correct? Could you explain what the recent rights issue is about and how it works? Much thx!
Q: I hold NHC and am thinking that that tax loss selling has driven it down alot. Thinking of adding to average down. Whats your latest thoughts on the company
Q: Hi Team
I have about 23,000 shares in ORT and down around 70%. I have owned for about 4 years waiting for the plant to start producing. They are now in testing/commissioning mode and have been for some time...I do plan on waiting this out as they are so close, but sometimes tomorrow never comes. They have had so many delays I stopped counting.
What are your thoughts on this company coming through? Time to sell what little I have left or hang on?
Scott
Q: Could you please comment on the 3rd q results? I listened to the conference call and came away impressed by the growth prospects. They have taken on more space which will be ready to facilitate a large contract with a semiconductor that needed assurances the company had the capacity to deliver the volumes they need. There were a few large sophisticated buyers in the past couple of months(Radoff Foundation etc) that seems to suggest the company is undervalued.
Q: What do you think of PHO's most recent quarterly results and their forecast for the future? Would you continue to hold this company, as an investor? Thank you...
