Q: Hi Team, I would appreciate your thoughts on MGX Minerals. It appears this Canadian company has patented a filtration system and recently successfully tested it for the removal of Li from oil and gas waste water. In addition purified water is a by product. I have been following the Li story and own shares in ORL and ALB. However, it seems this process is cheaper, faster and more efficient than the current solar and hard rock mining methods and we have lots of O&G. MGX can also apply their technology to recover magnesium and boron. Quite frankly the technology that MGX has tested seems to me like a HUGE discovery and breakthrough. Thanks Team Chris

Q: Hi 5i,
What is your take on Freshii (FRII) at this point, with the stock at its publicly traded low, the promotional noise having quieted somewhat, and its next quarterly report upcoming?
Also, recognizing that it is largely guesswork, from the stocks you are already very familiar with, are there any that you think may be well positioned to beat market expectations in the upcoming round of reporting?
Thanks?

Q: Rsi is currently taking over LBMaple Treat and as a result is offering common shares at 5.90 and a debenture at 5 percent. For a riff account that is interested capital preservation over growth and a good income what do you think of these 2 offerings? Do you prefer one over the other, and do you think this is a good acquisition of the company. Lastly, how vulnerable is RSI stock price in a recession or higher interest rates-I guess I am asking what are the risks.
Thank you.
Maggie

Q: Every time this stock gets near $5 I am tempted even though part of my brain always says no! My understanding is that they have a backlog, and have had over at least the past year. That's what makes me nervous. Why is the company not profitable ttm under this scenario? Do they bid too low, or are they just trying to keep hold of experienced staff for the eventual recovery?
(Is that eventual upturn even certain?)

Q: I am starting an RESP fund for my new son (initial investment maxed at $5000). I would like to begin with a somewhat aggressive growth-seeking small portfolio, and to then gradually add one or two stocks each year for diversification up to about 8 or 10 stocks in total. For my opening purchase, I am considering three stocks -- Kinaxis (KXS), Constellation (CSU), and Knight Therapeutics (GUD). Two questions: This seems to be a decent time to buy these particular stocks, would you agree? And would you replace any these stocks with any others? (I'm open to anything growthy, but have been considering Shopify (SHOP), Photon Control (PHO), Enghouse (ENGH).) Thanks, and great job.
PS: Should I wait to buy until a few days after the BoC rate decision, or has the market reaction more or less already played out?
