Q: Comment Re: Dennis' recent question. I checked the US Patent and Trademark Office and the company appears to have only one published pending patent application (US2017/0038571 - published last month). Note that there is no guarantee that the claims of the application will be granted following USPTO examination, nor that, if the patent is finally granted, the scope of the claims will not be significantly reduced.
This, combined with the fact that they don't yet have a working demonstrator, makes me very wary of this company. Virtually all of their market value is predicated on them owning strong IP that can be readily "reduced to practice".

Q: Hi, My question is about IOU Financial, a small US business loan provider. Their financials seem to be improving, with operating expenses expected to come down in Q4 and they recently secured a new credit facility that lowers their financing cost.

With interest rates going up and USA's economy improving, do you see potential in this name ? What would be the worst risks for them? ( besides being a micro cap )

Thanks

Q: Gentleman
Congrats to the staff member with the newborn, I am sure he will be busy. My question is about the latest take-over bid for Norsat. This is the second one from a different party, do you feel that this is a fair offer? I am thinking of selling, just in case the Feds raise the inclusion rate on capital gains, though it may be to late because the budget come out in 3 days.

Thanks

Q: A follow up question on the one asked by Micheal. Over the past 5 years the company's auditor has included a going concern note in all financial statements and mentions the accumulated deficit as the issue. From the STATEMENTS OF CHANGES IN EQUITY in company's financial statements it cites a deficit of approx $33 million. Is this deficit a total of losses the company has accrued over the years? If not what is it and why does it affect the company into the future. Thanks

Kenn
